Le Moulin d'Arcas is a sanctuary of calm. The old water mill is located next to a small river and surrounded by the owners vegetable beds and fruit trees. The couple, Luc and Anne Marie, were very welcoming and ensured that we lacked nothing. The room had old stone walls and a rustic charm. The bed was very comfortable and the shower great. In the evening we had lovely dinner outside with all the other guests while the sun was setting below the high mountains surrounding the valley. The next morning everyone had a nice breakfast with everything you might want. A great bonus is having the 'voie verte', i.e. the 80km disused railway line that is now a cycle/hiking path, within a 5-10 minutes walk. I also found a two hour round-trip walk on a beautiful forest path up the mountain to a peak. Catching the first golden rays of sunshine over the mountains at 6:30 in the morning was magical.

Absolutely everything! This place was so special. Stunning home, brilliantly decorated, and situated on an adorable farm. I so enjoyed getting to watch the twin dogs herd the chickens around in the morning and the goose sauntering down the drive. We were treated to home cooked meals around a shared table and the hosts could no my have been lovelier, ensuring the comfort and needs of guests were met at all times. Absolutely marvelous - I would move in tomorrow!
