We enjoyed the location as it was located in a nice green and quiet area. We had stayed in a few towns, which were often loud. For us, this was a wonderful, relaxing place that was very clean.

More like a B&B, this accommodation has been converted from a three hundred year old farmhouse. The small historic town of Saint-Charmassy is located nearby with larger towns (with more facilities) located ten minutes drive away. There is a delightful outdoor area on the grounds where we often spent the evenings sitting there drinking wine and eating cheese. There is a variety of drinks available to buy on a self-service basis though we bought our own wine. The hosts Floris & Marije are very welcoming and friendly while still leaving us to ourselves to enjoy their wonderful property. They offer an optional breakfast if required. The accommodation is spacious and clean. There are lots of brochures available to research local attractions.

We like the location of the property and the unpretentiousness of the building and the grounds…nothing too flashy or modern, except when necessary…nothing too dull or antique, except when appropriate.

My room was huge with period furniture and decorations set the the tower portion of the manor. Its set back from the road surrounded by vines and fields making the whole experience one of going back in time. The breakfast room was a spacious salon of the manor too. Our host spoke excellent english. Go while you can, my feeling was that the current staff of three was rather overworked and the property may be being sold
