We loved chez Moumoune - we were on a cycling holiday and the secure bike parking room was great. Our host was very responsive and met us for check in and gave great local tips. She had thought of everything for our comfort. The apartment is gorgeous and as shown on the photos

It is a beautiful town with good restaurants and bars, excellent coastal and inland walks and a very, very helpful tourism office. Everything is in easy walking distance. Nearby are other beautiful and interesting towns.

The town has a fascinating maritime and particulalry WW2...

The town has a fascinating maritime and particulalry WW2 History and was the site of a major battle during June 1940 which was like a smaller version of the Dunkirk evacuation (10 days after) but ending in much tragic loss of life, destruction and eventual surrender to Rommel. The monuments at the cliff peak(s) either side explain this very well. Also the Maison Henry IV is worth visiting as a museum of the town and its background and culture with an excellent guide who will captivate you for over an hour! But don't expect any detail much about the house and its architecture plus the link to Henry IV is very tenuous indeed as he only 'might' have visited it!

Lovely town and harbour, very pretty . We went there as my father was involved in a battle and captured there in 1940 . We visited the memorial site and were amazed at the amount of information there was with regard to WW2 and the German occupation and battle that took place. The tourist office were very helpful indeed and they have made a Memorial Trail around the town commemorating the details of the battle. We also visited the military cemetery. Apart from our interest in the history, the town itself was pretty and vibrant. It had a beautiful harbour and pleasant bars and restaurants dotted around the town. When we visited there was an evening market selling crafts and food with a local band playing music. We wished we were staying for longer than one night.

St Valery was the first overnight stop on a coach tour I drove on the 1980’s before establishing my chauffeur business in 1989. Used to stay at Le Casino hotel formerly the Altea. Just 45 minutes from Dieppe an ideal base to explore that part of Normandy with Fecamp and Honfleur an easy drive or Rouen if heading south. Pleasant marina harbour. La Barcarole restaurant is good.

Saint Valery-en -caux is a french speaking village with very few people speaking English there are plenty eating places and bars it is easy to get around as its a small village we didnt drive but best if u can as there are other places round about to visit the purpose off our visit was to go to the anniversary at the war memorial which was good so a long weekend was enough for us

A nice coastal town.I would have liked to see the fish market in action as it appeared to be quite bustling,but I had to leave to get to the ferry.I suspect it gets a bit quiet in the winter.A decent selection of shops,restaurants and bars to explore and the town is pretty well provided with scenic historic buildings,some of which seem to pre-date the invention of the spirit level.I have a feeling I will be back at some point to discover more.

Large hotel near to the centre of town, clean and comfortable and staff very welcoming and helpful. Very large room , a little dated and not great lighting unless the curtains were open. Very clean and good comfortable beds. Lots of space in the room. Toilet separate from the bathroom. Good shower and toiletries provided. Great car parking on site. Breakfast choices were very good .

Comfortable bed, friendly staff and a great location overlooking the sea front. Breakfast was OK. I liked that the hotel wasn't just another chain, it had a quirky charm that reminded me of hotels where I've stayed in France in the past, which is nice in this modern world of identikit stopover hotels.

A charming hotel, good location, beach and cliffs nearby. The must is a walk on the cliffs. Restaurant was good, also there are several options to dine in the town. The breakfast was basic (coffee, croissant, bread and butter and jam). Nearby town is also worth a visit. In all, a good stay.

Our room was across a courtyard into a chalet-type extension. Really quaint, quirky. Host was amazing. Breakfast good for the price. Location excellent for seeing St. Valery's old quarter and for town's restaurants. Easy street parking close to hotel.
