Great family hotel in an old manor. The house is very beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The territory of the hotel is closed during the night so it's safe. The village is small, cozy and have street with good cafes and little shops.

The location and the set up of the houses. It was nice and green area, so more appropriate for several days stay, not just an overnight.

The Suite was very spacious with lots of storage and a very confortable desk. Both our rooms had very confortable and stylish bathrooms. I loved all the tastefully chosen faucets and furnishing. The location was fantastic. I wish we had requested a room with a view on the bay but it was very quiet and confortable.

St Valery sur Somme is situated about 20 minutes drive from the motorway heading back to Calais. It is a small but lively town alongside the estuary which is overlooked by the Relais de Guillaume hotel. There are medieval ruins close by with a connection to Joan of Arc. There's a steam railway that connects St Valery with Le Crotoy on the opposite side of the estuary and a large bird reserve a little farther away. If lucky you may also spot the occasional seal popping its head out of the Somme.

There were interesting places everywhere; the various quarters of the itself, the little train that takes you in old fashioned style to Le Crotoy or Cayeux, the boat trips out to the farthest point where it is possible to view seals and amazing bird life, boutique shops and food discoveries. For the young at heart the cycling opportunities were endless and very safe, as are the hiking experiences. With good wellingtons it is possible (with a proper guide) to go out onto the marshes at low tide and view the wild life up more closely, such as crested cranes and the ecosystem. Further afield there are lovely, long forest walks in the Cressy forest and a visit to the battlefield of Crecy (August 1346) where a much smaller army under Edward III and his son, the Black Prince, routed many more French soldiers and mercenaries by clever strategy and the English longbow. A very small site but very atmospheric

This was just a stopover for us, so we only had half an afternoon, an evening and a morning but this allowed us to see everything we wanted to. It's a lovely town to explore on foot. We particularly enjoyed the medieval town and the old fishing quarter. If we'd had longer we would have taken some longer walks and maybe ridden the steam train over to Crotoy.

A lovely place to visit for a short break. the old town and surroundings are worth investigating. Plenty of bars and restaurants. The view is breathtaking with changing light and tide. good for walking and cycling. The tourist train to Le Crotoy is popular and worth doing once. Le parc de Marquenterre is an interesting destination for people of all ages.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel with our family! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The location in the city center was perfect, offering easy access to everything we wanted to explore. Waking up to the beautiful view of the Baie de Somme each morning was truly breathtaking. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wonderful variety of fresh bread, cheese, brioche, and jams from local suppliers. Overall, it was the ideal location for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Lovely part of the town close to the beach area and bar. Old character building but didn’t see the rooms there as we stayed in a separate apartment to the rear of the main hotel. The apartment was reasonably large with lounge area shower room separate toilet, one large bedroom with two double beds and one single. Breakfast included in the price and free onsite parking. Would stay again if in the area.

The location is very good as it is near both the old town and the shopping/restaurant area, and the promenade. The parking is really useful as parking prices in St Valery are very high. The apartment is in a charming area of the town.
