It's well-worth a visit.
It's well-worth a visit. The Roman remains are interesting and the medieval city is charming. There are a lot of tourists and many with children. Seems to be a family-friendly place. The river is lovely and there are many good restaurant options.

I was attending the Choralies Music festival which comes...
I was attending the Choralies Music festival which comes around every three years. Vaison-la-Romaine is a lovely old town full of historic interest. All the concerts I attended were in the stunning Roman Amphitheatre. There is a very impressive Market on Tuesday which is not to be missed. There are lots of good restaurants and cafes. Everything you want to see is within walking distance, once you have parked the car. A walk up to the old town is a must and a visit also to the old roman remains.

The city is very pretty and historic.
The city is very pretty and historic. It is a great place if you wish to tour the wineries in the area. There are plenty of good restaurants.
We were with a large group staying in a variety of homes. Everything was organized for us by one of the group who also has a home in the area.
I would highly recommend getting a driver if you are touring around.

This village is beautiful and just the right size to explore. Loved the upper village and the old castle. It is surrounded by fields of grapes and many other small scenic villages. Would have liked more time to explore the surrounding villages and wineries.

After the impressive remains from the Roman empire, do not forget to fully explore the OLD CITY, the other side of (and above) the river. This is one of the most charming place I have ever seen. Many beautiful houses of 17 and 18 century. Each one has a garden. And the most extraordinary church - Ste Marie de l'Assomption - in the process of restauration, with vitrals offered by Giannada (Martigny, CH). Each lateral chapel of this very special cathedral is a marvel. The old wooden structures display an incredible range of shapes and colours. Let us hope that additional donors will soon restore the full splendor of this unique construction.

Lovely hosts who communicated well before and during our stay and explained everything to us when we arrived. The apartment is really light, modern and clean with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable with nice quality bedlinen. Nice terrace to sit on with lovely countryside views and it is so peaceful!
Location is good.. just a few minutes walk to either the beautiful old town or into the town centre for more shops, bars and restaurants.
We would highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Vaison-la-Romaine.

Lovely large room with air con. Very pretty garden with use of pool. Also shared use of fridge. In a great quiet location, it’s only a very short and easy walk into Vaison La Romaine. Good choice of restaurants. Mme Antoine was very helpful & friendly, we just wished our French was better to have a conversation.

We have stayed in Hotel Burrhus 3 times in the last year. Every stay has been very good . The staff are very polite and helpful. We were worried on the 1st visit when our flight was delayed and we missed the check in time, but on arrival staff were still there to meet us.
