IrelandSome of the most friendly hotel staff we’ve ever encountered. All the employees at the front desk asked how we were doing every time we walked through the lobby. The young lady that managed breakfast was also very attentive, professional, and skilled at making omelettes and coffee. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the room with the fireplace. The architecture and design of the building is truly mesmerizing. It’s evocative of a Byzantine Inn from nearly a millennium ago. We were kind enough to get a room upgrade free of charge, which was very appreciated. Great bed, shower, welcome gifts, etc. Ioannina itself was gorgeous with its antique old town and beautiful lake being overlooked by snowcapped mountains.
