We absolutely loved our stay at Nostos Sifnos! The owner is the nicest guy, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He helped set us up with a scooter rental, and even gave us a ride into town when we had all our luggage. The room was spotless and newly renovated, even better than the pictures. Plus the garden was the most beautiful backdrop to an afternoon reading on the veranda! Cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favour and book!

Maria and her mother are lovely hosts! I loved meeting them. The place was extremely clean and comfortable, everything you may need is in the room. I loved the location, close to the supermarket, the fresh market and the bus. It was quite and with a beautiful mountain view and a lovely garden, and only 5-10 minutes from the center of Apollonia. Would definitely come back🩵

Very centrally located, right near the main strip, the "Steno" on Apollonia, also right on a major road so it was easy to get in and out by car. I had a later ferry and they allowed me to keep the room a bit later than they needed to, which was exceptionally kind of them.

Everything. It had a beautiful view and was very comfortable. The owner had everything stocked that you might need -oil, vinegar, extra toiletries. This is a local family owned property and it shows that they care about the guests. Do be aware that the beautiful hilltop view means there are a lot of stairs down to town. Take you fitness level into consideration beforehand booking. Sifnos is hiker paradise and once you find the trail heads you can explore endlessly.

We loved Apollonia as a base to travel out to visit other places on the island. You could walk to shops and restaurants and just enjoy wandering mornings and evenings. We took day trips to other locations all over the island.

Delightful street to walk up, void of cars, to many restaurants and lots of clothing and jewellery shops. Sifnos just has a feel about it and it felt very cam and relaxed.Drop in at Athena Gerard shop, it is amazing!

Apollonia is a great place to base oneself if coming for a walking holiday, especially if you come off-season (October-May) as very little was open anywhere on the island. Apollonia is the start of many of the walks, and the few cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets that are open are within walking distance. We came in March and the island was very quiet (and except for the unusual amount of rain) great weather for walking. In April, more would be open and the weather still good for walkers. May/Sept also good options for walkers with most shops likely open.

Appolonia is a good base to explore the island.

Appolonia is a good base to explore the island. You can take a bus to all the major beaches/towns from here. Appolonia itself is a sweet town with lovely, welcoming people. There are also a number of really nice shops along the main walking street and restaurants. Finally, if you plan to hike around the trails of Sifnos Appolonia is the perfect place to start from.

Apollonia is a lovely town, and a really great base for exploring the island. The views are beautiful, there are great places to eat and drink, as well as shops selling local goods. It’s very close to a village which is full of ceramics workshops, and we loved visiting and meeting some of the potters and buying directly from them. The town is a short drive from pretty much every other place on the island. It has lovely views and is quiet and safe. It was my first time visiting and I’ll definitely return in future, Sifnos is my favourite Greek island that I’ve visited so far.

Having visited many Greek islands and the Cyclades in...

Having visited many Greek islands and the Cyclades in particular I can say that Sifnos is a delight!! The village of Apollonia is typical picture perfect with traditionally winding streets with blue and white buildings and a church at every turn. Lots of boutiques with local wares and lots of amazing restaurants. There are good bus routes from Apollonia to other villages on the island and at just €2 a journey why hire a car. Perfect for the real Greek experience.

An absolute 10/10 hotel. Excellent staff, spotlessly clean everywhere, very high standards. The rooms are a good size. We had an Apartment which had good facilities for self catering, if required. Pool was about 23/24 degrees in early June. Amazing breakfast with views over the Aegean to Antiparos and Ios. Easy to walk down to Apollonia or up to Artemonas for dinner. Highly recommended

Aris was a great host, ready to assist with tips and anything we might need for our stay in Sifnos - a lovely island! The hotel is approximately mid way between Apollonia and Kastro, easy to access by car, with a lovely family-owned tavern right in the front. The rooms are lovely and very clean as well.

The staff and especially Panos (the owner) were super friendly and helpful since our arrival and during our stay. The room had a beautiful veranda and was very clean! The hotel is located literally 10 minutes walking from Apollonia. Very good spot to visit the rest of the villages. Highly recommended!
