United StatesThis is our third stay at Oscar, and we had another excellent experience. The hotel is right on the Main Street with lots to do around. The hotel property itself is beautiful with two pools, and the friendliest and most accommodating staff- From the front desk to the cleaning staff! There is a parking lot, which helps because parking on the main street is difficult. Overall great stay, and we look forward to coming back.

The location of the apartment is just right for everything.
The location of the apartment is just right for everything. The air condition in the rooms were very okay, The car parking space is highly needed because it is good to park the car somwhere safe. The housekeepers are doing a very good job by keeping the apartments clean everyday.
The compound is very quiet and the simming pool is very clean.
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment as a family of 4.

Lovely beaches, nice restaurants on the front, just chilled, people in shops and about very friendly, excellent if you are English speaking, Location is perfect for getting about on buses getting into Chania old town etc, a week is not quite enough we would have liked longer as it was a nice rest you have no worries for all you need there.

I love Agia Marina—it has beautiful beaches, great...
I love Agia Marina—it has beautiful beaches, great restaurants, plenty of shops, and stunning views. You can easily walk to Platanias or Stalos. It’s also easy to reach Falasarna Beach and further on to Elafonissi Beach and the Samaria Gorge.
Agia Marina also has excellent tourist infrastructure—you’ll easily find car rentals, bus stops with frequent connections to Chania, as well as many beachfront bars and cafés. It’s a great place both for a quiet and relaxing holiday and for a more active stay (water sports, excursions). Another highlight is the island of Agioi Theodoroi visible from the shore, which adds to the charm of the landscape.

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in the shops and restaurants. Petra is an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious local specialities run by extremely kind people. We went there on this first night and didn't look elsewhere, kept going back and tried as many Greek specialities as we could.

It's a touristy strip of land with amazing beaches and fantastic taverna-style restaurants. Beaches are public but we suggest picking a beachfront hotel and grabbing a sun lounger. Some beach bars have all day music, other parts are quieter so there's something for everyone. We stuck to the beach and had a really lovely time.
Restaurants recommendations include:
Koupes - we ate there nearly every other day. The food is incredible and the baklava is not only the best I've had, but is genuinely made by the owner's mother!
Kosmos - delicious baked feta and lamb, and the best tzatziki. They have a kids playground if you have children, and there are also cats and kittens looking hopeful.
Petra Family Restaurant - the mixed grill is incredible and enough for at least three people. The 'beef burgers' (more like flattened meatballs) are absolutely delicious.

Agia Marina is a great area for daytime beach clubs.
Agia Marina is a great area for daytime beach clubs. I would recommend taking the bus at night to the port (Limani) for better food selection, more authentic bars and lounges, and overall social feel. Agia Marina is a good daytime spot and good place to stay in a hotel.

Loved it! Hotel was a good size with two pools, two bars/restaurants and it’s right on the beach, as well as being very close to bars, restaurants and shops and a few mini golf/arcade type places. Staff were all lovely and our room was clean with a big balcony overlooking the hotel and the beach. We did all inclusive and the food was amazing with so much choice. Drinks choices were great too, especially liked being able to help yourself to wine, beer and soft drinks. We’ll definitely be staying here if we come back to Crete.

We stayed at Lofos Village with two other couples and all three villas were modern and looked fantastic. Elena gave everyone an incredibly warm welcome and couldn’t do enough for us over our time there. Even when the sky started raining orange sand and covered Crete, the owner himself came out to personally jet wash each villa and check we were all ok. Would really recommend Lofos village if you are after clean, modern and a super relaxed holiday.

Excellent place. Owner (Michael) and staff (Angela) very warm, helpful and available. Clean wide rooms. Two very nice pool areas with sufficcient amount of sunbeds. Close to beaches and restaurants. Good breakfast with many options. 30 minutes drive from Chania.
