LatviaA wonderful place to stay! If you’re looking to escape crowds and enjoy a more authentic, peaceful side of Crete, this is the perfect choice. It’s just ~8 minutes drive from Elafonissi Beach, and the surroundings are absolutely stunning - beautiful mountains, hidden beaches, and even a breathtaking monastery nearby.
The whole experience felt calm and unique - a completely different atmosphere from touristy areas.
Maria was an amazing host - very kind and welcoming, and she gave a great introduction that made me feel comfortable right away.

SwitzerlandWe stayed 5 nights in 2-level apartment Room 9 with a terrace above the pool and were very comfortable. It is a relatively small family-run place -- clean, relaxed and charming. The simple mini-resort is a little bit off the beaten track so is very quiet. The upper bedroom has a beautiful morning and sunset view. Alexandros and his wife are lovely and accommodating hosts, and do anything they can to make your stay pleasant. The breakfasts were tasty and reasonably priced -- dakos, yogurt with fruit/honey, omelette. Falassarna is less than a 10 minute drive away and the Taverna Spilios 5 minutes away is delicious. Elafonshi Beach is a doable day trip. As other reviewers have said, you really need to rent a car to stay here - we used Vacanza car rentals from Chania and it was perfect for us. Petras Resort was a fantastic holiday location for the two of us, it made our Crete holiday delightful.

North MacedoniaWe stayed for one night on our way from Elafonisi Beach to Balos Beach. The staff is very friendly and kind, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The balcony is very big, with hangers to dry your clothes/towels on. We went for food in the nearby village (1km away) and the food was traditional, cheap and very tasty. Would totally go back again, value for money 10/10
