Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared just for us. The place is quiet and charming, with rustic stone walls that give it a special touch. Parking is available outside. The host was very kind and gave us great tips on how to reach Elafonissi Beach.

A wonderful place to stay! If you’re looking to escape crowds and enjoy a more authentic, peaceful side of Crete, this is the perfect choice. It’s just ~8 minutes drive from Elafonissi Beach, and the surroundings are absolutely stunning - beautiful mountains, hidden beaches, and even a breathtaking monastery nearby. The whole experience felt calm and unique - a completely different atmosphere from touristy areas. Maria was an amazing host - very kind and welcoming, and she gave a great introduction that made me feel comfortable right away.

The accommodation was fantastic – fully equipped and with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. It’s very well located, close to everything you might need and in a quiet area. Stelios was extremely kind and attentive, always available to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We recently stayed at Elafonisi Resort by the Kalomirakis Family and had a very positive experience. Giannis Kalomirakis was wonderful to deal with — we were unlucky with the weather and decided to shorten our stay, and he approved it without any objections, which we truly appreciated. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful sea view. Housekeeping did a great job every day by changing the towels, cleaning the floors, and emptying the trash bins. The family’s tavern was also a highlight, serving à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day, with delicious traditional dishes. We felt very well looked after and would gladly recommend this place to others.

Great location right by the sea, nice little private pool. Walking distance to little grocery store. Loved this peaceful escape by the sea, close to many beautiful beaches! Staff was also very responsive and attentive. Excellent experience. Will be coming back!

The location is absolutely stunning - like something out of a movie. The view is breathtaking, and you can enjoy sunsets right from your doorstep. Agnes and Nick were wonderful hosts, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, they responded in under two minutes and quickly got us back in. The apartment itself is spotless, modern, and smells fresh. Everything works perfectly. Daily cleaning is available, and you can choose when you’d like it done, which was super convenient. There’s also a small market just 30 meters away, great for grabbing coffee, snacks, or water. Highly recommend staying here!

The beach is undoubtedly beautiful and very clean and great for all ages. However, it's just too crowded during peak season. Buses and buses come streaming in around 9:30 am. If you're adverse to very heavy crowds, skip this during peak season.

The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling...

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Great location close to Elafonisi beach and a few other beautiful beaches. The apartment is actually a small independent house with a private parking and very nice patio and a huge carob tree. Small and calm village, just in a few meters there is a monastery you can visit and several good tavernas. The apartment is was very cozy and had necessary arrangements for a short stay. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s perfectly located—just a 5-minute walk from Elafonissi Beach—and offers a stunning sea view. The area is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing. Place with one of the best views I have ever seen. You can see the sea at one side and mountains on the other. It is really as close to the Elafonisi Beach as you can get. It is still a few minutes of walking, but there is no place to stay closer than this.
