Paxos Rock Apartments was very clean and comfortable. It is only a very short walk from Gaios. The host, Sophia, was very hospitable, answered all our questions and helped us with everything we needed. Also, very good value for money.

Friendly greeting upon arrival. Not too far from the center. Smooth communication. Property was really well kept and had cute seating at different areas. Rooms were clean and spacious - just like the pictures. Only stayed one night.

The views were absolutely stunning from our room! And the beach bar next to it was perfect to have breakfast and chill in the morning. Olga our host was the sweetest and so friendly and she really took care of us. I wish we could have stayed longer

Our stay was excellent! The hostess was very kind, as she accommodated us with an early check-in based on availability, and kept our luggage for a few hours after check-out, allowing us to enjoy the island a bit more. The apartment is centrally located, nicely styled, clean, and spacious enough for our 3-day stay; it had everything we needed. It can get noisy at night since it is next to a public street, but if you close the windows, it is quiet enough to sleep. Contrary to other reviewers, the bathroom had enough lighting—maybe they added more. We would definitely stay there again!

Gaios is a lovely town built into the side of a mountain and...

Gaios is a lovely town built into the side of a mountain and leading down to the old quayside. Lots of yachts are moored at the quayside and larger fancier boats moor in the harbour. Gaios is small enough to be able to walk around it comfortably and enjoy. It is mostly pedestrianised during set hours. It has a good variety of shops, bakeries, supermarkets, cafés, ice cream shops, restaurants and bars to keep it interesting. Our two favourite restaurants were Dal Pescatore (excellent fish) in the main square. And Melissi, close to the waterfront in Gaios, where the bronze statue of Georgios Anemogiannis is located. We loved their salad with figs and honey dressing. Most restaurants do a carafe of house wines which is typically excellent. There are taxis available at reasonable cost if you are staying outside the town. We hired a car for 4 days and visited Mongonissi, Loggos and Lakka and spent an afternoon at Marmari beach. All well worth a visit. You can hire bicycles (electric, if you need a bit of oomph) or mopeds/ motorcycles, if you have the correct license. We went for one special 'fine dining' dinner at the clifftop Bar and Restaurant Erimitis on the west side of Paxos. Outstanding location to view a stunning sunset! Recommend.

This is a really chilled out place compared with the hustle, bustle and noise of Corfu. It very easy to get to Paxos by ferry from Corfu Town. This is a very pretty town with no high rise concrete monsters! Very few hotels so every thing is either apartment or villas mostly self catering. Don't bother cooking. Eat out at the many bars and restaurants which are al reasonably priced. This is our third time which says it all.

We really liked Gaios, very quaint little place with the usual array of bars and restuarants to choose from. Friendly atmosphere. We ate mainly at our accomodation about 4 miles away but enjoyed our scooter rides into Gaios for supplies. Whilst there we would often visit one of the cafes for a drink and a snack. Altogether a picturesque little town and a nice place to watch the world go by.

We loved the beautiful harbour setting, very picturesque. No cruise ships so not suddenly inundated with thousands of tourists. We had great food experiences in the local restaurants. Our favourite was Taka-Taka.

Gaios is a charming and intimate little town that truly has everything – stunning scenery, turquoise and blue beaches, lush green hills, and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. Everyone can find their own special spot here. Although small, Gaios offers plenty to do both inside and outside the town, making it a perfect base for exploring the whole island. You can go on hiking trips around Paxos, as the island is full of great trails, rent bicycles to explore every corner, or even rent a boat to go sailing by yourself or with a group, depending on your preference. For those staying in apartments, there are supermarkets with everything you need for cooking at home. The trip from Corfu to Paxos by ferry is quick and simple, and once you arrive, you can easily reach Gaios on foot (as we did) or by taxi until 11 PM for about €10. The island is truly dreamy, with kind and welcoming people everywhere. We felt that 4 days and 3 nights were exactly the right amount of time to explore the island, relax, enjoy delicious food, and then move on.

Gaios was a delight.

Gaios was a delight. Very pretty with plenty of tavernas coffee bars etc. However as we made our way through quite a few places we were told many times “ we don’t have “ when trying to order food. It’s not the end of the season you still have tourists! Best trip was with Captain Yannis on Agia Sebastianos boat which was exceptional! Authentic Greek food throughout the day so many swim stops around Paxos and Anti Paxos and for just 55 € great value this was our favourite day I absolutely recommend this to everyone.

The property is beautiful. Low key and quiet. The pool area is lovely as is the restaurant and bar. We had a room in the hotel which was exceptional. The bed was huge and the bathroom modern and clean. A lovely little villa with its own parking and a great view over the ocean. Directly in front is a small pebbled beach and a restaurant. About 15 min walk to the port of Gaios, but I recommend a car as Paxos is so beautiful and worth driving around to sightsee. Wonderful to have your own pool to swim in, and if you are a lover of cats we had the sweetest mother and her two kittens visit us!

Very nice quiet location especially if you want to avoid the noisy streets of Gaios during high season, but without having to stay at a remote villa kms away from everything. Awesome pool nice surroundings, everything clean and nice value for money considering what most villas in Paxos are asking. Highly recommended.
