If you're staying at this wonderfully located hotel, I highly recommend renting a car if you wanna go to center ( 10 minutes by car ). We felt great in this very special hotel, right on the seafront in a beautiful bay. The hotel manager, Georges, and his team were very warm and professional. It was pure paradise.

Grikos is about a 10 minute drive from the port city of...

Grikos is about a 10 minute drive from the port city of Skala. Skala has a beautiful down-town feel with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Grikos is further away and will require, at least for us, a rental to do all the things we wanted. There is a very reasonable rental business called Camel on that part of the island and they have cars and scooters. Taxis are also available. It has more of a residential feel over the down-town. However, beaches are always nearby on an island. I enjoyed getting to drive on the mountains to the places we wanted to go.

Grikos is a pretty sea-front village with five tavernas, one organised beach and two unorganised beaches. It's perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The port of Skala, the main town, is 3 kilometres away, and buses costing two euros run regularly throughout the day and into the early evening. There's also a car and scooter hire establishment for those who prefer their own transport. There is no grocery-store in Grikos, but Skala is close enough to not make this too much of an inconvenience.

Spacious ,clean apartment with beautiful views across Grikos with a comfy bed & the little added extras included that all add up to enhance your stay ( daily cleaning , tea/ coffee provided , bottle water on arrival , iron, hairdryer, coffee machine , toastie maker etc ) & Tess is a fantastic host -couldn’t fault it all , what an absolute bargain . Plus it’s a 5 minute walk to Grikos beach & a good choice of 4 very good tavernas

A superb hotel on the beach front with spa facilities which were free. Very clean rooms with all modern facilities, rooms were cleaned and linen changed twice a day . Very friendly staff and manager Emmanuel found time to take us around to show the facilities. A very new, modern spacious gym. Breakfast had variety of dishes and live egg counter.

Nice small charming hotel, only 20 rooms, well situated ( the beach is at the corner) We liked the greek atmosphere inside The family who runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast on the roof, in the shade, with a nice view :) And a choice of good locals taverns in the area We couldn't ask for more !
