We loved everything about this hotel—the location, the views from our balcony, the breakfast, the cleanliness, and the staff. Kastraki is a smaller town than Kalabaka and we were happy with this. We were still able to walk to restaurants in Kastraki from the hotel. We loved the easy accessibility to hiking trails….literally right next to the property.

Absolutely loved our stay here. I have to say that it exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful, courteous and went out of their way to enhance our stay. They even let us stay longer after checkout since our train was leaving later. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A magical place surrounded by Meteora

A magical place surrounded by Meteora Kalambaka is a truly fascinating and unforgettable place. The Meteora rocks rise majestically in front of you, and from almost every corner of the town you can admire this incredible landscape. The view is breathtaking, emotional, and simply unique. From Kalambaka you can easily reach the Meteora monasteries, an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. The monasteries and the surrounding scenery are absolutely spectacular. The town also offers excellent food. Every place where we had lunch was a great experience, especially Panellinion Restaurant and Taksimi Taverna, where the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Kalabaka is a small town , very beautifully organised...

Kalabaka is a small town , very beautifully organised beneath Meteora. Tavern Dias next to Alexiou hotel has very good traditional food, moussaka is delicious. Very easy to get around and take a walk though the town. The trip to Meteora was easy to make as well, as the receptionist in Alexiou hotel thoroughly explained open hours of the monasteries.

We stayed only one day and visited a few monasteries in the mountains by car. The views are beautiful. The access to some of the places is not very easy, you have to be prepared to do some walking and stairs climbing. But it is totally worth it!

An authentic, genuine town, with many activities and services. The real Greece, popular, simple, unostentatious, and very lovable. Incredible Byzantine frescoes in the upper church, overshadowed by the (well-deserved) fame of the Meteora.

The town was a good size and the central part was pretty.

The town was a good size and the central part was pretty. The people were friendly and helpful. We loved the monastery guided tour in the morning before it got too hot and visited 2 VERY good museums we recomend - the Natural History and Fungi & Mushroom museum and the Meteora Digital Projection & Cultural centre.

Kalabaka was really nice because unlike athens and other larger metropolitan areas it has that small town feel where people are more friendly even to people that they don't know. I made friends in public while I was here for one night whereas in Athens it took much longer to meet anyone. I am solo female traveling and making connections is important to me, along with affordability, safety, and cultural authenticity. Kalabaka checked all those boxes for me! Very happy I came here!

This hotel felt more like a luxury rustic apartment than a hotel room. The bed was fantastic - the bathroom and jacuzzi were exceptional as well. If you want to feel "at home" this is absolutely the Suite for you! Modern - sexy and comfortable! Meteora was the highlight of our Greece trip and we will be returning to these Suites for our stay!

This hotel was absolutely amazing, and I’m surprised we even managed to get a room — it was worth every penny. The location couldn’t be better, the view was breathtaking, and Meteora was only a few minutes away. We’ll definitely return!
