The location is fantastic, the gardens all around and the beach. The hotel served an excellent breakfast and has its own restaurant for lunch and dinner. They have excellent food and drinks. Our stay was made even better due to the great personnel this hotel has. Everyone greeting you with a smile and willing to fulfill any request quickly and efficiently. I loved the proximity to the Hussle and bustle but still being in a quite location so you can have a three minutes walk and find yourself in the middle of the action. The rooms are small but very clean with comfortable mattresses and pillows. The Wifi and the AC work great and the view from the balcony is amazing.

Everything. Room was very modern and clean. Wonderful views on the balcony. Was able to keep the doors open for lovely breezes. Beach is literally out the front door. Stefanos and Panos were great, even helping me to find a mechanic when my rental cars tire started to lose air.

Nice island, very big, we only visited the lower half part.

Nice island, very big, we only visited the lower half part. The roads are very well maintained and reaching the beaches is quite easy. Water on the beaches is generally clean but usually windy all day long. The beaches are nice and clean and there are plenty around Karystos (where we stayed for our vacation). Lots of restaurants and tavernas around the island. I recommend near sea locations for sea food and fish and village tavernas away from the sea in higher areas of the island for grilled meat or local food options. Prices were reasonable for the accommodation and food. I recommend going there with own car or rent one if you like to visit several beaches, otherwise it will be difficult to reach different locations just by local transport. It is very close to Athens (about 3h driving + ferry) so if you plan to visit it is affordable.

It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea.

It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea. The marina is a pleasant place to walk and visit. There are many terraces/restaurants/taverns for dining. The nearby Galida beach is very long, with calm, clear water, with few stones. There are parking lots right next to the beach, under the shade of the pine trees. There is a tavern on the beach. Winds are specific in the area, but despite all that, the sea has no waves, it is good for swimming. There are not many places to buy souvenirs in the city. We ate at the Cavo D'Oro tavern and Fingerfood, and we recommend.

Karistos is a small coastal town that mostly serves holiday...

Karistos is a small coastal town that mostly serves holiday makers from Athens. There are some fantastic restaurants which you will only find if you look carefully on Google! The same goes for stunning beaches - we found them only through searching on Google-earth, renting a car and going in search of them! You will enjoy the interesting culture and history - it is worth the short trip up the very windy mountain/hill-side to mooch around the ruins of the old castle and the stunning views from the top. There is plenty to see and explore and renting your own car is highly recommended (the rental place called *Karistos Marine* - located very close to the Anastasia hotel was absolutely brilliant - so helpful, extremely reasonable and offered a great car which we took all over Evia.

Highly recommend this exceptional accommodation in Karystos! It's just perfect, impeccably clean, well thought out, beautifully decorated. The house is terrific. Very clean, spacious and it met all our expectations. It is located very close to the center of Karystos as well as plenty of beaches. The host is incredible. I highly recommend Merabello Villas.
