This was the most amazing place - all the conveniences, walking distance to the Zakros Minoan ruins, the tavernas and the beach. But who would want to leave Stella’s. I want to go back!

The view of the water from the terrace makes it! Lovely sitting area outside. We ate most of our meals there. Also friendly owner Georgia and her charming gaggle of well-cared for cats. Well-equipped with coffee maker, panini press, pots, small oven and stove-top.

It was not advertised properly. Only one room renovated which is pictured. Taverna closed and no food in the area. Considering we booked for what people said about food and the pictured room it was nothing as advertised. We asked for one night back as we couldn’t stay the host was not willing to work with us at all. Even after we explained. We had booked for 2 nights so thought it fair to ask for just one night back. Host was not friendly when we brought these things to attention. Don’t go! Especially if there season hasn’t started. Really sad to say the service sucked even in checking in to meet. Don’t go!

Nikos and his staff were great, always friendly and accommodating. The room is literally at the beach and the food is great Greek cuisine. The room itself was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy.

The location is amazing, bathrooms are beautiful and you fall a sleep with the calming sounds of the waves. Sadly I could only stay for one night.
