We stayed here one night before heading up towards Loulida for a five night stay and two nights afterwards before leaving the island. We regretted not staying at Hotel Karthea for our entire stay on the island. The facilities are clean, the staff is professional and kind, and the location is excellent.

This is a beautifully maintained, comfortable and well equipped property with gorgeous views. The host was very responsive to all of our requests and promptly answered all questions as well as providing helpful information about how to navigate around the island and tips on the best beaches, etc. It was very comfortable for a stay of four adult friends an it would work equally as well for family groups

The property is up on a hill, above the town. It truly feels like a resort—away from everything. The swimming pool is magnificent. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I like that it is a family-run hotel and they care for every detail. The rooms contain all the amenities one would need and the bed was very comfortable. This is a great place for a true getaway. And, only a 15 minute walk to the port, a 15 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to a view of the sunset that beats Oia, completely. Photo attached.

Korissia is a lovely Port with a couple of Restaurants and gift shops and really comes alive in the evening as many large boats moor for the evening. It also has a beach which (I noticed) is about to undergo a 'renovation' (not sure what this entails) however, it could do with one. The water quality was lovely, however, the beach was a little messy and littered.

What I love about Korissia is that is a small port with everything you need around you. I also love how it sets the rhythm of the day. Life begins early in the morning with the first boat coming or going from the island, shop keepers opening their shops, the first Kalimera (good morning) floating around in the air. We visited late June and it was beautifully quiet - not too many people but also not too few. We were lucky in terms of the weather as there was a constant lovely breeze call Meltemi and I could sit for hours in a coffee shop reading my book, watch the world go by but most importantly stare at the glorious sea just in front of me. In the evening the place comes alive with people strolling, dinning in good quality and diverse restaurants and tavernas and children were happily playing outdoors. We had no car, so being in Korissia everything was within walking distance. We could even walk to Gialiskari beach or book a taxi from the local firm which provided a great service. Overall, Korissia is a lovely and comfortable little port that can be used as base for exploring Kea’s beauty and everything the island has to offer to its visitors.

Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. It is packed with cafeterias, cozy restaurants, music bars. It also has some nice shops, a pharmacy, travel agencies etc.

A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. The staff were friendly even at the end of the season - we were the last guests to leave and the hotel was closing down for the winter!

Very quiet and not a lot to do but very peaceful and restful. Lots of walking trails but not easy to access. Local buses very infrequent. Lovely place for a quiet rest. Local people very nice and friendly.

Korissia is a hidden gem, a gorgeous, quiet place full of nature, perfect for getting away on a weekend from a busy life and take a break, breath and enjoy clear air and lovely people. If you want to see around you definitely need a car. Beware of inaccessible roads. Go for it if you are adventurous and you have a car good for rocky roads. I loved the quiet beaches surrounded by nature and also the breathtaking views from the mountains. Just lovely!

My stay at Keos by the sea was excellent. I combined holidays with work and the extremely helpful and accommodating staff provided me with everything I required for my work - including fast and reliable wifi, a work table , clean and comfortable room with AC and a quiet location. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities that were needed! The location was amazing, at a walking distance from the port. The host, Mr Nikos, was polite and kind and super helpful with recommendations before arriving at the island! Highly recommend for anyone seeking somewhere to stay in Kea!

Hotel was lovely, very comfy mattress and pillows. Good choice of breakfast, great staff and good facilities. The location is an easy 5/10 minute stroll into the port area either via the beach or road. Room and bathroom clean.I would be happy to go back to this hotel .
