During our trip to Greece we stayed at 3 different properties and this had a good location if you are looking for a lively scene especially at night. The beach was beautiful but pretty busy and packed with people. We received a free room upgrade at check in which was spectacular and came with designated beach chairs.

We really enjoyed our stay. The welcome we received was outstanding. The pool and amenities were great. Free parking in front of the hotel was so easy. Breakfast was nice, choice of everything you could wish for. The service was always friendly and everything was spotless. Our room and attached bathroom were not large but we had a nice spacious terrace attached to the room, very comfortable. And not to forget, the location of Dedalos hotel is really really great. Walking distance to all the fun city center and beach but far enough in order to not hear noise. This hotel is really economical and well worth the price. To sum it up : WONDERFUL !!!!! THANK YOU KOULA and thank you to all at Dedalos hotel.

The owner along his staff are fabulous hosts. Helped with all one needed, super clean room and facilities. Great restaurant with fantastic food, large room with all one needs. Highly recommended place to stay. It's definitely a hiden gem in Malia you certainly do not want to miss. Will definitely return.

The staff was extremely welcoming. One of the owners waited for us until late hours in the night, as our plane was delayed. The room was newly and fully refurbished, very clean and with a pleasant design. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. Will definitely come back to visit! Thank you, Stelios family!

Hands down one of the best places I have ever had the privilege of visiting in the world. Not only are the facilities amazing but the staff made you feel like family. The city of Malia and its people have stolen my heart. The hospitality of the people were beyond my expectations. These people are humble and authentic. Vicky, the hostess, is warm and attentive and does her best to accommodate guests’ requests. The entire team is friendly and helpful. All dishes are freshly prepared and well suited to our tastes. A special mention goes to the young chef, who stopped by each evening to ask for feedback on the dishes.

Malia is a great place for food, beaches and a good location...

Malia is a great place for food, beaches and a good location to explore some of the surrounding areas. The old town provides amazing Cretan restaurants, pretty much all good, and some, like the Avli, Getonia, Sokaki, and Brassierie are excellent. Book a table if there in the busy season. There are local palace ruins which are well worth a visit and easy to get to on the happy train, which is also an experience on its own and does various trips up to the hills as well around town and locally. If there for while definitely book some trips out on a boat, as the sea is just deliciously clean and refreshing, and if feeling adventurous take a boat to Spinalonga and have a wander among the old leper colony. If you can get up in the hills, a visit to Lasithi Plato and make sure you stop off at the restaurant Taksiarhos - where all the food is home made by Joanna, the wife of Taksiarhos who owns this place - it is a complete treat to meet both of them as have a truly authentic Cretan meal and experience. And once the cave is back open (hopefully in 2026) visit Zeus' birth place just a little further up the hill. But of course, the weather is just fab here so do enjoy the sun be it on a beach or by a pool!

Malia is a great base for exploring eastern Crete,as it is well served by public transport,car hire is easy and reasonable,but if you just want to eat,drink ,sunbathe and play in a pool,on a beach or in a club or bar it is great too.

It’s nice beach location ! Lots of British young people ! Everyone super friendly ! Just opposite our Primavera beach hotel - nice sandy beach ! Please check prices for sunbeds !!! On first day we payed 80! euro ( Nissos beach ) for 4 sunbeds. Next day gone to Bikini beach ( just left side from Nissos entrance ) - and you get sunbeds for 9 euro !! Feel the difference!!! But food at Bikini beach was not so good as at Nissos or Pleasure beach ( to the right from Nissos beach ) From restaurants near by ours favorite was Drossiya !

When you're here, don't just party and beach!

When you're here, don't just party and beach! Take some time to explore the old town. Beautiful flowers, charming little streets and houses... This isn't an advertisement, but if you're there, check out the Honey Corner next to the little church to see the handmade honey, olive oil, and soaps. They make wonderful souvenirs to take home with you!

Malia is simply wonderful and I have visited it for the second time in the last two years. For those who like action and lots of tourists, then the center of Malia will definitely meet their expectations. On the other hand, there are also quieter parts on the eastern side of Malia. Great restaurants and the local people are simply amazing. Malia is also wonderfully located so that a trip to the big cities like Heraklion or Agios Nikolaos does not take more than half an hour or so.

Friendly staff, the owner was attentive and gave us information on what was good to do around Crete. Amazing pool area. The room was better than the pictures and very clean. Hotel is located next to lots of bars, restaurants and less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. It completely succeeded our expectations!

Good location. Not a big hotel but nice and very close to the own beach. Umbrellas at beach for free, bar is just steps from beach. If you want to discover Crete and live close to seaside at same time, it is very good option. Not far from Heraklion airport is good as well.
