Forest Park Hotel is located in a beautiful position on the hill above Rethymno, offering breathtaking views of the city, the sea, and stunning sunsets. From our balcony, we enjoyed a truly unforgettable panorama, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is best reached by car, as the walk to Rethymno Old Town takes around 25 minutes downhill, with the return journey requiring a climb back up the hill. However, the elevated location rewards guests with peace, quiet, and spectacular scenery. The hotel grounds are exceptionally well maintained, with beautiful gardens featuring olive and citrus trees. There are two swimming pools: a larger pool for swimming and a smaller relaxation pool. Both were spotless and very inviting. The pool bar offers drinks, snacks, and food throughout the day, and the staff prepared excellent cocktails. The entire team was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was generous, varied, and delicious. The room was a little compact for two people, but it was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed, including towels, a mini fridge, and complimentary water. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and very clean. What impressed us most was the hospitality of the staff. After check-out, we still had several hours before heading to the airport, and the hotel kindly allowed us to continue using the pool and facilities. This thoughtful gesture made our final day much more enjoyable, and we are very grateful for their kindness. Overall, Forest Park Hotel exceeded our expectations. The beautiful location, stunning views, excellent facilities, delicious breakfast, and exceptional staff made our stay truly memorable. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rethymno.

Beautiful hotel. The pool was quite big! And the pool área is really nice to chill in. Our room was clean, well equiped and beautiful. Staff went above and beyond to help us with our every need. You will have a superb view while eating breakfast which is homemade. Parking in the área can be difficult but old town is just 10 minutes down the street and when you want to go back you can catch a taxi for 5 euro which we did every night. Stay here as many nights as you can!!!

The hotel staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel is very cozy. We also liked the rooms, they looked very nice! The breakfast was alright, with some options to choose from. From the hotel you can be in the city centre within 10 minutes walk. There are some nice places around the city and hotel staff gave us nice recommendations on beaches and restaurants to visit.

Upon arrival the very very friendly daughter of the hotel-owning family checked us in. Before we even entered she had given us bottled water and took our luggage. She gave a lot of usefull info about the surroundings and things to do on Krete. The room was spacious and gorgeous, the same evening we booked another night there because the experience was so exceptional. Thanks you for letting us stay over!

The location of our hotel, the fact that it was close to the beach and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved to learn about the Greek culture and customs.

Great place for families! We had a fantastic experience there. Great staff, really nice pools, good food, perfect location - walking distance to beach, old town. Our kids (5 & 7) loved it, made new friends and had so much fun at the nighttime entertainment. The room was great and had everything we needed for our stay.

Walkable location to explore old town Rethymnon and easy beach access. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

What I did like the most was the people and the general atmosphere. Every evening there was an event that captivated both the adults and the children. Everyone from my family wants to make a re-do in the future.

Perfect I really liked it The view the location the cleanliness the staff Especially Michael the bartender , he was super sweet and funny and we enjoyed it so much and felt welcomed because of him and all the staff Also the girl at the front desk maybe statsie the name of her but she was so sweet too Thank you guys so much ❤️❤️

Location was great, very close to beach, right at the edge of all the action, close to Old Town. Breakfast had such a variety and changes every day. Great value!

The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff were lovely. The facilities were good and the location was perfect for a walk into the old town, which was beautiful

The staff here are brilliant. The reception team were very accommodating for us as we had a wedding to attend nearby. From ironing service to booking our cabs and making sure everything went smoothly. The bar staff on the roof top pool were also great and made sure we never had an empty glass. All in all great value for money and a perfect hotel for our short break to Crete.

We got the room upgrade for free. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast is standard, rooms are quite comfy, there seemed to have been a staff shortage (or an influx of guests as this is a destination for cruise guests) but I always managed to find a staff when I needed. The location cannot be beat.

Great location - just across from harbor. Short walk to an area we call “restaurant row” with wide selection of quality food and bars. Staff amazingly friendly and professional. We live in a nearby village and like to spend New Year’s Eve in old town for fireworks and not worrying about driving.
