Paleo is a very busy holiday city, located in a beautiful area. Lots of bars and restaurants. Rather crowded, though, and during peak hours the traffic is terrible. Several nice beaches near by. Only about ½ hours drive to Corfu City / airport.

Paleokastritsa is one of the most beautiful places in Corfu. I fell in love with its crystal-clear waters, breathtaking landscapes, green hills, and peaceful atmosphere. The combination of nature, beautiful beaches, and charming surroundings makes this place truly unforgettable. It was a wonderful experience, and I would love to visit again.

It's an excellent location for a laid-back holiday.

It's an excellent location for a laid-back holiday. I could easily spend up to 10 days there, enjoying the beaches, swimming in the sea, going on yacht trips, and exploring other parts of Corfu. There are a few shops and several nice restaurants nearby—honestly, you don't need much more than that.

Stunning location.

Stunning location. The beach is mainly sand with some small pebbles. The sea wasn't particularly warm as it's fed by mountain streams apparently, but was refreshing during hot days. The curve of the rocky hills either side of the bay creates a beautifully calm and safe large swimming area. Great for snorkelling. Recommend Zefiros bistro for coffee, great value food and friendly service (open till 8pm). You can see the sunset if you walk up the hill to the monastery. Book a boat trip with Michaela's - 30 euros for a trip to various caves and beaches, and to be dropped off at a remote beach for as long as you like - the boat returns every hour to pick up, we stayed 5 hours. There are lots of day visitors but very quiet at night, most restaurants were closed by 10pm.

Paleokastritsa is a truly beautiful town.

Paleokastritsa is a truly beautiful town. Lots of bays for sea experiences. Swimming, snorkeling, cliff diving, boat trips, we even hired a quad bike to get around on. It is a long resort but there is plenty of transport. The food is superb and caters for everyone. 20 minutes from the Aqualand if that is your thing. Stunning views and amazing sunsets. Everyone we met were very friendly. We will be back.

Its a very amazing part of Corfu. The 5 bays (6?)

Its a very amazing part of Corfu. The 5 bays (6?) are very dramatic. the water is crystal clear (a little chilly in June but very refreshing). The history of the area, aside from being a place of stunning natural beauty, is substantial. There is a monestary and very old church you can visit. Nearbye (better by car unless you are a serious hiker) there is the dramatic ruins of Angelocastello - a Venitian castle fortress that stood guard on the northwest of the island (you can visit during the day). The cliffs are really dramatic, the olive grovs dense and all around. There are also grotto/ caves you can visit by boat. Many beaches. Loads of restaurants. La Grotto bar is right below Paleokastritsa Palace Hotel and a nice day and night visit. There is a marina and advertisements for various boat excursions (I did not do that). And meanwhile there are ways to visit the main town of Corfu via tours and also public buses. But I strongly recommend renting a car to get the most from the island.

This hotel/resort made our holidays complete! The room was amazing, with sea view, modern bathroom and very big comfortable bed. The service was amazing, lovely staff, especially the host Vanessa! The breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. The beach is literally next door, and you even get discount on the sun lounges at the Akro Beach Bar. Also, the bus stop is right next to the entrance for if you want to go to Corfu town.

The house was wonderful, with a beautiful garden full of flowers, a peaceful setting, and everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The hostess’ hospitality was truly noble and warm. My room had the most beautiful view over paleokastritsa. The place is in the BEST location. If you take a 2 minute walk down from the property, you reach a quiet and beautiful beach. There is a great supermarket (supermarket Kathy) 7 minute walk away and the bus to Corfu main/old town is right outside the property also! Vasilis is a lovely host who assisted whenever I had any requests or needed information.
