The view was spectacular. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Charming room with precious little balcony and again the view! The pool was crystal clear and it was lovely to see the pool with the backdrop of the ocean. The people were so friendly and helped us with calling a taxi etc.

We had no catering reservation. Convenient supermarket is just about 150m up the hill so no problem to shop when needed. There are also very good restaurants close to the supermarket. Plaka is small community and quiet most of the time. There are nice sea and mountain views from Leste Homes. We have flown to Heraklion rented the car and drove to Plaka 124km. It would be more convenient to fly to Chania CHQ airport instead just about 30km from Leste Homes. I would recommend to hire car because it is easier to drop down to Almyrida beach. Hosts have been absolutely fantastic, hospitality above expectation, cleaning better than 5* hotel and host also shared with us traditional Greek dishes and wine, outstanding.

Plaka exceeded my expectations.

Plaka exceeded my expectations. At first we thought it was just a small village with a couple of restaurants and a shop which would have been fine, but the longer we stayed the more we enjoyed it - the properties are beautiful, the view is amazing, the local shop is very friendly and useful, the restaurants are very good and there's a lovely bohemian style bar. Generally the place is clean and pretty and not overcrowded or boisterous, perfect for young families, couples looking for a peaceful vacation or older people.

Lovely little town, not a tourist hub, and there are a lot of ex-pats, especially from UK. Local pub shows English football games. Small grocery stores are well stocked with essentials. Walking in Plaka is easy, but also easy to get lost with such small circuitous lanes. One restaurant open for breakfast, other 3 for dinner. The pictures provided of the apartment are accurate.

It's a rich area with nice bars and restaurants - most people stay in upmarket villas and the square is busy at night. Small and picturesque, it has a couple of supermarkets and a brewery. It is very relaxing and peaceful.

Plaka and surrounding areas is a beautiful quiet and relaxing place. Short walk to restaurants and stunning views. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is the place to be. Beautiful beaches and Chania Old Town and Venetian Harbour a short drive away.

Plaka is equipped with 2 mini markets which provide all basic necessities; larger supermarkets available in Kalyves and Souda. We ate a number of times in Plaka, Elpis restaurant being our favourite with excellent food and lovely staff. Taki’s is also very good.

Plaka is beautiful and very traditional. Excellent restaurants closeby. Amazing views across to Almyrida and also views of the mountain. We loved all of the restaurants and had great food in the four thst we went to. We had great souvlaki and moussaka. House wine in all were really good. We used the pool in Emerald apartments and just brought drinks while we were there, the view from the pool wS amazing. Very easy to get round Plaka, however we never walked back from Almyrida as it is very steep so had a taxi, 6 euros.

Our apartment on the ground floor was spacious , comfortable and clean. We received a warm welcome from Maria’s mother and the cleaning lady was friendly and helpful. The location was good an easy walk into Plaka, where you find good restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. We walked to the beach in Almyrida, but of course it’s uphill to get back, so you need to be fit. We loved Plaka it’s calm and relaxed and would have no hesitation in returning and staying at Demeliza Apartments

This villa had everything you could need for a relaxing holiday I had my birthday and organised through the villa manager for a couple of ladies to come in and cook a meal for 6 Thoroughly recommend Let’s Cook …the food was amazing with enough for us to have leftovers As an added bonus there is a very cute village nearby - Plaka Also a lovely beach lined with tavernas and cafes 7 minutes away An all in great place to stay

Very private, lovely pool, good air conditioning in all bedrooms and lounge. Fabulous outdoor area with beautiful garden. Quiet. Easy walking distance to centre of Plaka and short (downhill anyway!) walk to Almyrida with its beach and multiple shops and tavernas. Short 10 min drive to Kalyves for the more spacious beach there.
