Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants. It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari. It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

Maria was a very attentive and caring hotel owner. The hotel was right by the sea, and every room had a sea view. The room was fully equipped with everything needed. Since the facility had its own sunbeds and umbrellas, there was no need to go to the neighboring establishments. The sea was crystal clear, absolutely beautiful and clean. The rooms were tidied up daily, and the towels were refreshed every day. The hotel is close to many tavernas and the town center. If you’re arriving by car, you can park near the hotel.

The host Irina was very welcoming. She gave us a choice about the room and helped us according to our preference. In addition, the hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the most beautiful beach of Lesvos. Our room was carefully cleaned every day and they did not turn down any of our requests. On the last day, they embarrassed us and offered breakfast. When we go to Plomari again, we will definitely stay in this hotel.

A fantastic 3 days holiday in heaven. It was a lovely experience to have an isolated villa just on the beach. Stratis, the house owner, was lovely as well, he started out journey before it started by helping about the road, took us from somewhere to take us to villa. Villa was outstanding and kids enjoyed the 3 nights isolated beach experience, Plomari is 10 minutes drive when you want to socialize.

Excellent location with a friendly landlady. She was very accommodating and the rooms were very clean. She was always helpful and had great local knowledge. The place is 1min walk from the beach and tavernas with a carpark for our hire car right across the road. It is 5mins drive to Plomari town. Highly recommend. Excellent facilities, we will be back.
