Great location (and gorgeous view if you get the pricier option), clean, all the right amenities, very helpful staff. I only stayed for one night but I imagine for longer stays it's the same. Beach literally across the road

We stayed one night at Amario Suites Hotel and had a very pleasant experience, thanks in large part to the friendly and helpful staff. From check-in to departure, everyone we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and happy to assist with anything we needed. The hotel is beautiful and location was perfect, just a short walk to the beaches and cafes. Even in a short stay, it was clear that the team takes pride in providing good service. They offered helpful recommendations and made the process smooth and easy throughout. While our visit was brief, the positive attitude and genuine hospitality of the staff stood out and made our stay especially enjoyable. We’d happily stay again.

My kind of place: A lovely old family country house that feels a million miles away but is just a short drive inland from Aigio and the Corinth-Patras highway. The upper-floor suite was perfect -- a large, bright saloni with a fireplace ready to burn, couch, and desk. Just enough nice old furniture, photos, etc. add charm. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, daybed, and a balcony with extraordinary views across hills, valleys, and vineyards, and over the Gulf to the mountains of central Greece. Dimos was a fine host, making excellent gin-and-tonics and filling breakfasts with lots of choices (and very accommodating re: dietary restrictions), also fun to talk to. The little village is quiet, with few cars in the tiny streets, and more happy cats and dogs than people. The area remains remarkably rural, for now. There are archaeological sites, monasteries, and spectacular scenery throughout. A highlight was lunch overlooking the Meganitas (almost dry) river at the Kristalenia taverna. Another was the newly updated and expanded museum at Aigio. I'll be back.
