The view of the water from the terrace makes it! Lovely sitting area outside. We ate most of our meals there. Also friendly owner Georgia and her charming gaggle of well-cared for cats. Well-equipped with coffee maker, panini press, pots, small oven and stove-top.

Nikos and his staff were great, always friendly and accommodating. The room is literally at the beach and the food is great Greek cuisine. The room itself was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy.

The road is a bit more difficult until here, but the more winding it is, the more beautiful it is, especially if you come from Ierapetra. The descent to Mazida Ammos beach takes your breath away, the scenery is worth all the effort.

Exceptional friendliness and care of our hosts! In one word, it was a great and relaxing stay in Xerocampos. The surroundings, the beaches, the gorges for hiking, the beauty of sea view – all this made it an unforgettable experience for us. Many, many thanks to our hosts!

Elaini was there to greet us with a home baked pastry and information on the local area. The unit itself was very beautiful and well equipped for a long stay. The beach was a short walk away and tavernas were also a short distance, but we drove being seniors. We especially enjoyed her recommendation of eating at Stavros Traverna, went twice! There are also a couple waterfront travel as within walking distance. The drive to Xerokampos is worth it! We came from the south side of the island and we were surprised to find the mountainous road itself was a UNESCO site! We especially enjoyed her comfy decor and patio surrounded by blooming flowers. Elaini again brought us a wonderful home baked pastry the day we checked out! She’s a dream hostess! Would definitely recommend and next time we would stay longer! The waters were a bit too cool to swim in May but the beaches are beautiful!

Xerokampos is a very quiet place with many beautiful beaches...

Xerokampos is a very quiet place with many beautiful beaches. There are restaurants and bars directly at the beaches or in the village. You can make most thing on foot without using your car or a taxi. The people at Xerokampos are down to earth and super friendly at all times.

First class accommodation with attentive hosts. Villa was fully equipped with all requirements to ensure our stay was hassle free. Situated in Olive grove and a few minutes walk to lovely beach. Other beautiful beaches within a couple of minutes drive. Tavernas also within walking distance. Hosts Christanthi and Georgios were fantastic with info on area and gifts of their produce grown on their land. Xerokampos is a quiet village with stunning non commercial beaches and crowd free. Total relaxation

This is the second time we have stayed at Castello del Mare. We absolutely love the villa as well as Xerokampos. The location of the villa is the best in Xerokampos. Right on the beach and close to some lovely beach front tavernas. The villa is very well furnished with everything you need and a lovely new bathroom since our previous stay. Manolis and Mrs Fonteini are lovely hosts and very responsive. The place was spotless and cleaned regularly. We will be back again!

First time visiting Xerokampos and we really enjoyed it there. It is in a very rural area and the views we had from our studio were amazing. Margarita was very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area and the beaches. The accommodation is excellent with a nice garden area and plenty of parking space. In the five days we stayed we visited two tavernas and they were both excellent. We will definitely be returning to Xerokampos.

Our stay in Xerokampos was an awesome experience.. The apartment is super close to one of the most beautiful beaches of crete, within 5 minutes of walking! The Apartment itself is beautifully furnished and sooo well taken care of by sweet Ms. Poppy and the wonderful and very attentive host Polydoros! We got lots of recommendations on where to go and Polydoros would always be available to help. We’ll come back for sure! Thank you for hosting us :)

Beautiful house with very lovely details, high class quality and traditionally designed. Like a small castle, fully eqipped with everything you need. Best bed we ever slept in. All the beautiful beaches of Xerokampos are close, as of course the taverns. We felt so very welcome by the nicest host Eleni. Some day we will visit you again , thank you so much ! Keep it up !
