From the moment we got off the airplane in Kingston and were picked up to be taken to Jay’s Guest House II, we experienced nothing but first rate hospitality. The food was incredibly delicious. The accommodations were just what we were looking for for our hiking trip. They were able to assist with every aspect of our trip; from transportation to/from Kingston, acquiring park passes, getting us to the trail and hiring an amazing guide. Everyone made it very simple for us to relax and enjoy our time.

This place is an absolute treasure. Perched amid lush gardens on a working farm, the setting is nothing short of breathtaking, with panoramic views that made us pause every time we looked out. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who offered us freshly picked fruit straight from the farm—an incredibly personal and generous touch. He also gave us a fantastic tour of his small-batch, chemical-free coffee operation, which was both fascinating and inspiring. Naturally, we left with two bags of his delicious coffee! We had the entire house to ourselves and spent hours tucked into the cozy window nook, reading while the rain gently fell outside. Hummingbirds fluttered by, and we even spotted a few curious mongooses—magical moments we won’t forget. There are a couple of great local eateries in the nearby town that happily deliver right to your door, making it easy to enjoy amazing food without leaving the peace and quiet. This stay made our whole trip to Jamaica truly special. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer—but we’ll absolutely be back.
