Everything about their home is perfect! It’s so close to the best entrance of Sinharaja. Beautiful home next to the river with sparkling clean rooms. No AC is not a problem because the temperatures are comfortable and even chilly at night. The best part is the hospitality Gunarathna and his family show, so friendly and accommodating. Always offering tea and inviting me to help cook dinner was an experience I’ll remember. Gunarathna is a guide in a the reserve and his sons offered to take me around the village and waterfall. So great! Lovely experience

The most amazing part of this place is its beautiful location. Apart from that, the staff, food, and facilities were all maintained at an exceptional level. The river flowing near the hotel made our stay even more relaxing and memorable. The swimming pool facing the forest was also truly amazing and created a very peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely a 10/10 stay.

Sunil is such a friendly and caring host! We had a lovely time at his home. The view was amazing and everything was clean too. We also did a tour through the rainforest with him and he showed us so many birds we couldn't find without him :) We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner too and we would definitely come back and also recommend this place to others who are planning on visiting the rainforest.

This is an exceptional property! THE place to stay especially for birdwatchers with birds easily seen from a three way viewing area above the restaurant as well as outside the rooms and gardens. The manager makes the place, always smiling and attentive to every detail making sure everyone’s stay is the best. You can walk to the world heritage site park and the birding jeep tours pick you up at the gate with your packed breakfast. Meals were excellent and the quality well known to others with people seeking out their restaurant for the great the great food. I highly recommend it. I stayed 6 nights and would recommend 3 or 4 to enjoy the area.
