I had a wonderful stay! The hotel has very good facilities and everything was clean and comfortable. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I truly enjoyed my time here and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at River Post! Even got upgraded to a more spacious room. The Internet was fast, the bed comfortable, and the aircon a blessing. Manoj and Janith were very welcoming and helpful. They helped me get a motorbike for a decent price, and even connected me to a neighbor with a sowing machine when I needed a piece of clothing to fix :)

A stay that felt like home. From the moment we arrived at Villa 26, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hosts are incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful—those rare people who make you feel like a guest and a friend at the same time. What makes Villa 26 truly special is that the hosts are also the chefs. Every meal felt like a personal celebration—beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and made with real passion. Sitting down to dinner each evening was one of the highlights of our trip. And then there’s their beautiful, friendly golden retriever, who added so much charm and joy to our stay. Waking up, having breakfast, and being greeted by that happy face made everything feel even more special. Villa 26 is peaceful, personal, and unforgettable. We left with great memories and would return in a heartbeat.

Great location and very friendly staff

Perfect location, best restaurants, beach clubs next to the hotel, clean and neat, smells spectacular, all rooms ocean view, rooms wide and fresh. Also all employees are always very respectful, helpful, and understanding, with always smiling faces, 10/10 would come again

The hotel is beautiful. From room, to pool, to grounds, and the beach everything was great! Staff was welcoming and worked to make sure my stay was excellent. Had a check out in the middle of the night and they offered to pack me a to go breakfast without me asking.

Such a serene spot, away from the beach. Activities every day. Really tasty food. And such kind people.

I had 7 hours of surf lessons with Arun and became really good friends on the way. He is the best surf instructor and he is also super easygoing and chill - also really flexible about the surf lessons. The location of the hotel is perfect, you get out of your room and there is beach right away. The room was clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They solved all my problems and helped me with my request. Samaru is a special hotel and I’m definitely coming back!

Comfortable rooms with great hosts. All essential amenities are provided, and the prices are very reasonable.

Amazing food, the restaurant is owned by an Italian chef and his wife. They also hired an Italian pasta chef to make the pasta and pizza and everyone else who is hired is local Sri Lankian. Every single person was very profession and very kind and generous. It’s worth it for just the coffee alone! They also have a cute shop with some clothes and clean skin care products. Would stay again!

A fantastic place in every way—location, cleanliness, staff, food, everything was top-notch! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to a stunning view was an unforgettable experience. This place is worth every penny. Himaya was incredibly helpful, and the whole team was friendly, attentive, and super quick. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend it!
