We arrived at Summerhill Bungalow in pouring rain, which didn't stop throughout our two night stay. It was actually a blessing as my husband and I just stayed in enjoying the lovely calm atmosphere of this historic house, playing pool, reading and generally relaxing and enjoying the peace. Most of all, Shimal, Raoul and the team made us feel so welcome. They looked after us so well throughout our stay, even putting hot water bottles in the bed when the evenings got chilly. The food was delicious, much of it based on produce and herbs from their own garden.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. My stay at the Loris Manor has been exceptional. It was storming when we got there. The caretaker Krishna is a gem of a person who tended to everything I needed as I got sick from the sudden change in temperature. There was a cup of hot tea always ready before you as and the breakfast he makes is a 10/10. Initially I booked for 2 nights but with the weather and my fever it was hard to travel, the owner accommodated 2 more nights for me. Krishna also showed me shortcuts to the town and the local market, which was honestly a great plus. You can get most things you need in. 5 min walking distance. Overall, I felt very welcome and safe and this would be my -The place to go- in Nuwara Eliya. Side note- Krishna is a man of many talents. He also taught yoga and is a great chef! Feel free to ask him for yoga sessions and breakfast 😊 The washroom had hot and cold water settings. I also met some lovely people here. My overall stay was nothing but welcoming and good vibes
