Wings hotel is in a pretty location, on the top of a forested hill overlooking the ocean. While the staff were very pleasant, they were a little overbearing as there were 30 of them and just me as the sole guest. As Booking.com only show the positive comments by default, please read my full review for a properly balanced view.

The visiting lemurs were obviously a highlight of the location. They'd jump through the trees outside my window and visit the patio area often. For the most part, I was pretty comfortable. It's a simple accommodation, but well maintained and clean. It's surrounded by nature. The only noisy neighbors are lemurs. Power was dependable - just a few short outages. The solar seems to be in good working order and internet was good except during storms (to be expected). The mosquito net on the bed was excellent (which turned out to be important). The fan over the bed kept me fairly cool, even inside my net. I think it's better value than many of the accommodations on Nosy Be. The beach is nice. I found a few spots to the south to snorkel from the beach (not spectacular, but lots of turtles). At night, there were fireflies about. :D

A great great great thank you to Jolie, Gerard, Pierrot, Helen, Chris, Frédéric and all the staff for the amazing family like time I spent there. They treated me like family and I really enjoyed it. They provide a boat and car ride for you for transfers to and from Hell-ville. I really liked the Lokobe Reserve. The rooms are great and spacious, lemurs come up to your bedroom door. Great mini hike to a tide beach, that appears or is submerged depending on sea level. Very very good for families and very safe for solo female Travellers.
