The location is perfect if you go to ski. It is right in the middle of the stage and you can basically walk to the ski lift or ski down to the ticket store. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with anything to get you comfortable. They can find private ski or snowboard instructor with discount for beginners who want to learn skiing. They have the snowmobile to help you bring things from the car to the hotel. You can not go to the hotel with car. If I would ever return to Kodra e diellit (Popova Shapka) this is the place I would return to without a doubt. I highly recommend it to single people or family.

Quality as expected from a brand like Mercure. Good-sized room that can accommodate a lot of luggage. Close to the bus station, and there is bus stop right in front - make sure to tell the bus/taxivan driver "Mercure", and they might be able to drop you off right in front (although the street is still about 100 meters from the hotel entrance).

We went to the mountain for snowboarding, but the overall...

We went to the mountain for snowboarding, but the overall experience didn’t fully meet our expectations. Even though the wind was low, the gondola and chairlifts were not operating—only the T-bars were running. We also thought this might be because there were not many visitors that day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a refund for our ski pass. Getting to some areas was difficult, and grooming machines were working during the day, which disrupted the flow. The slopes also didn’t feel well prepared overall.

We visited the village in summer while it is clearly a ski...

We visited the village in summer while it is clearly a ski resort. That means that the surrounding landscape is somewhat spoiled by ski lifts, etc., but the mountains are great, with a number of beautiful hiking trails, some leading to peaks over 2500 m high. The village itself is rather densely built but has its charm. Remember, however, to bring your groceries with you as there are almost no shops around and most restaurants are closed in summer.
