A fantastic bungalow in the forest! It’s tough to find at night, so try to get there during the day. Also bring some essential snacks and drinks with you. It’s a bit of a jaunt to shops. That being said, brilliant environmental stay. Iguana, brilliant little jungle snakes, howler monkeys, and birds. Just on our night. I recommend renting a motorcycle or tough little car to get there. We hiked around in the forest, all kinds of nice trails around the site. Come prepared and you’ll have a magical experience.

This hostel is pure magic! Nico and the team are incredibly kind and welcoming, creating the best hostel experience I've ever had. The rooms are beautiful, the location is a beach paradise (3min walk to the beach), and the breakfast is delicious. If you're looking for great vibes & amazing people, look no further than Tukasa!

We had an amazing time at Club Surf Popoyo. Santiago was a great host and always available if we had any questions. The place is very quiet and located right on the beach. It's only a few minutes' walk to Popoyo's main surf spots. The rooms are very clean, and there's also a perfectly equipped kitchen that we used a lot for cooking. We'd stay there again any time! Gracias Santiago! :)

We really really loved the food. Staff is very friendly. Also loved the remoteness of the location. Felt like a piece of untapped paradise. The area is underdeveloped so it facilitated the perfect environment to truly relax and recharge.

I loved the staff, the peaceful and the location. Also, everything was cheep. The beds are brand new and so nice. It’s not some hard box which is typical in Central America. It was right by the beach just a few steps and also the surrounding beach’s are close but I liked Gigante the most. I always felt so relieved when I was back. It’s safe and all the people in Gigante are nice, chill, and laid back. It is a unique and precious community. But there’s just a couple locals and fisherman on the beach. I did not see many tourists. The coffee, beers, clean water were always accessible. There is a guard at night, not that you need one. Also there is hot and cold water in the shower and you can get housekeeping if you want it. Otherwise they just leave you alone which is awesome. I went for Pie De Gigante Spanish School. It changed my life. Playing pool at Juntos was fun. Anyways I can’t wait to go back.

Aqua is built down the mountain to the water. My villa - which was 2 buildings (one bedroom/bath, one kitchen/dining) with a plunge pool between them. I entered the villa on a wooden deck at ground level and my pool and viewing deck was about 40 feet in the area making it very unique but private. It is in the jungle, so there are a lot of trees and leaves, but my pool was clean and easy to remove leaves. The beach cove is very scenic. The restaurant is casual, and the service is very friendly and attentive. The food is very good. I was there for NYE, and the menu was quite delicious and fun with a firepit, live band and fireworks. The area is remote, but there are day-time walkable beaches and restaurants. I took walks everyday and saw few people on the beaches - it is so peaceful and clean. The resort is well maintained and expanding - I'd love to visit again to see it!
