ColombiaWe spent some great days in Casa Guardia thanks to Tony, Enrique and the very attentive staff. The boutique hotel is very cozy, in a quiet and beautiful location with direct beach access. Food at the restaurant on site was fantastic and with good variance, so we ate there every night. Overall a great and relaxing holiday. We will be back!

Having a washer/dryer or dishwasher would have been nice. There are a lot of beds in the apartment, as you'll see from the photos.

There’s not much going on here.
There’s not much going on here. Very few shops and restaurants. You have to drive far to get to the hiking trails. The red flag was up about half of the time meaning it was too risky to swim in the ocean due to rip currents. It’s a great place for just relaxing on the beach or poolside. The weather on the coast was warm but not too hot and although the forecast often warned of thunderstorms, it sprinkled on us only once briefly. It’s also a far drive to Panama City due to road conditions.

Staff is very friendly and responsive, food is good and abundant, rooms are clean. There is entertainment every single day that we did not like. We noticed that other guests also looked for silence. It would be fair to entertain guests every other day, in our opinion.

Excellent round trip airport experience to the amazing...
Excellent round trip airport experience to the amazing resort, delicious food, beautiful beaches, and stunning sites, Panama and its people are A+. Highlight of my trip? Watching the sunrise over Playa Blanca, feeding the monkeys, and sightseeing the old city. Simply unforgettable.
Recommend adding fans to buffet.

The hotel is very far from Tocumen International and both arriving and departing saw us sitting in traffic for hours. The closest shopping mall is a 45 minute walk and it is incomplete with not much to do. I would have loved some variety for breakfast but lunch was great every day and you have many dinner options. The drinks were okay. Quite a bit of variety, I would have loved more coffee options though.

We entered unclean room.
We entered unclean room. Tub was dirty, blood and hair on the pillows, mold on the chairs and AC unit. Bugs in the room from ants to spiders. In addition we were left without food, water, AC, and lights for 4 hours with no compensation and no transfer to different resort. Front desk staff was not helpful at all! We asked for bottles of water and the ones brought to us smelled like vomit. Mattresses were continuously being switched out due to bugs! Food was the same everyday. If you did not get to breakfast by 8 you'd be without breakfast meat. Wait staff in dining hall was not attentive. Definitely do NOT recommend this resort also I will not be staying at anymore RIUs.

Very spacious apartment with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom, friendly host, nice pool that you can use. The Playa Blanca beach itself was gorgeous and is only a 15 minute walk from the apartment.

Nice location in front of the beach, well run. 1 pm checkout is something that should be applauded. Many hotels are making checkout far too early these days
