We loved this small hotel in the center of the medieval town. It was unexpected to see how well they transformed a quinta into a cozy, comfortable 9 room B & B. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is a peaceful town and lodging for a few days of relaxation and exploration of the town and castle.

This is a very isolated but unique hotel. Difficult to find staff as the facility covers a large area and most staff we did find, have multiple responsibilities. The room was unique and comfortable, but needed some updating. The restaurant was lovely and the dinner was nice as well. it was a bit expensive for the experience

Facilities (room, swimming pool) are great and clean.

Facilities (room, swimming pool) are great and clean. The cleaning lady who also serves breakfast does a superb job (although the breakfast she is required to serve by the centre is paid extra at €8,00 and overpriced, better bring your own). Manageress/reception unavailable during most of the day and not overly helpful. Apart from the breakfast there is no restaurant or bar for other meals and drinks during the day (there's a microwave in the room and we bought our own food and drinks in Intermarché in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, at 20kms)
