We were able to check-in early as our room was ready. This was very helpful as we were tired & on foot for a Camino. Our room was very comfortable & clean with a shared external bathroom (no other guests that night). The rooms are upstairs from a Cafe Bar owned by our host who also runs a mini supermarket adjacent to the Cafe. We asked about food & were encouraged to make a purchase from the host's supermarket & were happy to support this business. We had access to a brand new kitchen with a large table & chairs on the same floor as the rooms. However the kitchen was very poorly equipped & we stayed 1 night. Best we could do was buy a frozen pizza & heat it up in the oven. At first glance we thought it was expensive compared to other accommodation in the area. However having unexpected access to the kitchen and other facilities added value. The property has great potential.

Lovely newly renovated large apartment in the center of the village. Three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, and separate living room make it easy to accommodate six comfortably. Close to both Castelo Branco and the Serra da Estrela. Owner was friendly, easy to communicate with, helpful when we needed it, and brought fresh bread both days!

What a gem! This is a superbly well managed property, our host D. Laura is an amazing housekeeper. The value for money is incredible. The region is beautiful and the swimming pool overseeing the valley the cherry on top of this super good stay. The kids also loved it!

Dont book the room without checking you can stand up in the bathroom ,when a male is going to the toilet. I am 5ft 3 and I had to bend over to wee . Headroom must have been about 5ft. Front garden looked like a tip. Room was in the antic ,with very limited head room on one side . Being at the top of the house .The heat was unbearable. We had to go out and buy a decent fan that worked well. I asked for another room as we are both in our 60s ,nothing was done. Little service here. Also it is up three flights of stairs
