We liked the beautiful pool area. The room was a good size with its own patio. The restaurant next door made a custom vegan dinner for us.

Great location to walk around the city, Wonderful staff/owners, very helpful! Comfortable room, cosy and we'll decorated, with a unique style. Lovely private balcony and view of the city. Plenty of space for luggage and to put your clothes away. Option of a breakfast in the morning was welcomed. Added an extra night and wish I could have stayed even longer. Lovely visit to a local winery, Herdade Canal Caveira, 10 min. drive away. Highly reccomend to anyone looking for a hotel with flair that doesn't look like every other hotel you've ever seen.

When I wanted to take a hot shower around 21:30 after a long...

When I wanted to take a hot shower around 21:30 after a long day of traveling, there was no hot water. The next morning at 06:30 there was still no hot water for showering. The mattress of the bed is rock hard and you can feel the metal mattress springs through the bed. I had indicated in advance that I wanted to stay two nights and that I wanted to use breakfast and dinner twice. When I arrived, I could choose from two daily menus: something with chicken and something with fish au gratin. I chose the chicken and got lukewarm weak not fully cooked fried fries, lettuce and the chicken. Simple and not very tasty, but for 13 euros you can't and shouldn't expect too much. I asked for a glass of white wine, I was the only guest in the restaurant at the time and was served my wine in a dirty wine glass. When I said something about it, I did get a new clean glass, but there was a rather indifferent reaction to it. Because after the first night and night I was both disappointed in the food, but even more so in the bed and the cold shower (literally). I decided to check out and not spend my second booked and already paid night in this hotel. I explained why I didn't want to stay any longer and the response was rather indifferent. I didn't get my money back because I booked through Booking.com non refundable. I see that's a shame and asked if they had had any complaints before, especially about the cold water. The lady said no, I looked up previous reviews based on my experience and found reviews on Facebook, among other things, afterwards with complaints from people who have left the hotel earlier in connection with cold water and bad bedrooms etc. If I had looked better in advance for reviews outside of Booking.com, I would not have booked this hotel at all. The hotel is also not recommended for the low price they charge.

I was clean and AC worked.

I was clean and AC worked. However, breakfast was a rip off at 12 euro per person given the quality of food on offer. Staff were scruffy and unfriendly. The town is very sleepy - not much there so would stay somewhere a bit more lively next time

The hotel and staff are very helpful but you do need to ask for most things so if your shy maybe not for you. The spa was closed the jacuzzi was broken and they're was not a good drinks selection at the bar like no rose wine and no brandy for example!

Warning!! This is my worst hotel experience ever!

Warning!! This is my worst hotel experience ever! I have been living in many hundred hotels and nothing comes close to this. When arriving at the hotel it did not have a working airconditioning/heating system in the rooms. It was 15 degrees in the rooms and I had to leave the hotel for another hotel. When leaving the receptionist and I agreed that no check-in was done. But afterward, they lied to Booking and said I stayed the night there!! Their 4 stars should be a 1 star. In the end, after many phone calls, Booking compensated me for the trouble.

The main problem is the remoteness of everything. The Museum might help but was closed. The nearby restaurant did not open for dinner. The cafe was more like a coffee and wine place to attend football, surrounded by noisy fans. Being winter and cold nights even walking had to be a short experience. Even the hotel occupation: we were the only paying guests on a Saturday...

The room had a beautiful wide balcony with a truly gorgeous view. Since it is a remote location, there is basically no noise, so it felt calm and relaxing. The house where the hotel is located is quite distinguished.

The welcoming staff. - Comfort, quietness and charm of the venue. - Restaurant and hotel in the same facility (we could eat in spite of a rather late arrival).

Great idea to set tents in hotel with bassein. Tents are well made from cotton fabric and you can sleep well until 9.00 about even in very hot weather.
