Penalva do Castelo is a lovely town ,the people are nice and very helpful. Everyone we met made us feel welcomed . Very pretty town. Maybe a couple more restaurants needed. The surrounding area is very picturesque and good for walking. Lovely place!!!

The staff was unbelievably helpful, accommodating with our arrival time and with our requests. Uppon arrival, we were greeted by the staff who were very competent and professional in their communication with us. We took advantage of the Spa offer and I can honestly say that this SPA beats many SPAs at worldwide hotels. 100 % recommend the SPA add-on if you are visiting them.

The hotel was beautiful and full of history! Beautiful gardens, an excellent terrace. The swimming pools are in a confortable green area surrounded by huge old trees. Each small detail brings history to you. The chapel is breathtaking!

Great location, immersed in the countryside. Besides the hotel in a lovely historic building, there is also a fantastic museum about the family that owned the property.

A wonderful old house that had opened to the public. Great restaurant serving local food and wine from the vineyard in the hotel property. Friendly staff.
