The apartment was very clean when we arrived, and Laura, the owner, was available for questions. She also left wine and beer in the fridge, which was very nice. The living room is very cozy, with a TV and several board/card games for the whole family. For us, the location was convenient, but it really depends on the purpose of your stay. It is a tiny quite village, and there is a drive to grocery stores and restaurants. A large supermarket is a 20-minute drive away.

The staff were incredibly nice, from the reception subchef girl who had the glasses, who always had information and a helpful attitude for anything we asked, to the lady replenishing the breakfast buffet. Just a simple genuinely nice and attentive attitude throughout all the staff we encountered at this hotel!

Taken from the municipality website …” The Convent of Desagravo do Santíssimo Sacramento in Vila Pouca da Beira was founded in the second half of the 18th century by the town council, nobility and people, in accordance with the Royal and Episcopal Provision that authorized its establishment.”. The hostel is very close to the center's town and the river. very quiet and comfortable. very good communication with the staff. and the large, varied and delicious breakfast. I recommend it!
