Private room in an old couple’s house. Very warm and welcoming and cooked an excellent breakfast spread each morning. The location is not a far drive from many of the vineyards and sites that were on our list for the Douro Valley.

Easy, comfortable stay. My room was huge with a giant balcony & and a panoramic view. The quinta was easy to reach by car with loads of free parking. All the staff were great! Meals were good. The dinner menu was short but had enough variety for a few days' stay, and the dishes I ordered were very tasty.

We had junior suite, it was spacious including terrace with sunbeds (although no use in March as even with full sunshine the temperature was chilly). We stayed midweek out of the season - actually we were the only staying guest in the hotel. Anyhow, restaurant was open for us (excellent dinner) and breakfast was served directly to our table instead of the buffet style. Excellent service as in the past we have experiences some hotels closing restaurant, etc. if not enough staying customers. Definately place to come again.
