The view was breathtaking! Staff was really helpful as well, especially the guy from Nepal - sorry forgot his name! We arrived at 7am after 2 very long flights, and they made sure we have our room ready so we can rest - they even let us have breakfast on the same day.

Host was happy that I stayed in THE frigate apartment? OUTSIDE the gate is a meat market, grocery store, and down the street a fresh seafood market. Bus stop is just a few feet away. The fruit gift was an added touch and was delicious.

A perfect spot in a great location. David and his wife were wonderful hosts. They picked us up and returned us to the airport. Had some snacks ready for us in the garden hut. Have us a recommendation for a great dinner delivered to the hut. It was all perfect. A little garden paradise.

Excellent location. Close to few nearest beaches, local shop and takeaway However I would recommended a car due last 200m to the home which is very steep. Also a car advised for better and quicker access to any beaches or places. Never had such host. Marie Claire is the best. She arranged flowers for my half for her birthday, explained anything "where, what, when". BTW Marie Claire can help to arrange a vehicle for any period of time. I'll recommend this place for my friends and colleagues who will be planning to go to this Edem island (Mahe). The sunset view on your balcony... to die for it. Look at the picture of sunset, these are the real colors of the sky.

Everything there was amazing,I absolutely fell in love with the place. The location was perfect, and the view was truly beautiful and unique. The staff were warm and kind, and whenever I needed anything, they prepared it for me right away. I’m genuinely grateful to them, and I highly recommend that you try it too. It was even better than many five-star hotels. I’ve stayed at a five-star hotel in the Seychelles, and I really loved this place.

Victoria city is a clean and safe city. City start winding down as early as 5pm. Central Market, museum, beaches around, great local and international foods. Easy to navigate the city. Car rental available at good price.

Variety of shops. Safe. Cultural. Food is expensive. Beautiful lush terrain. Humid. Bus is best way to travel. Reasonable. When you change buses you have to pay fare again (12 rupees). Cabs are expensive. Many pharmacies if required. Locals are friendly, helpful. Bus service good M- F and Sunday. Minimal Saturday. Not much open Sunday.

Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an...

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!

We had an amazing stay in July at Shay Lyah. The size of the accommodation exceeded our expectation. Everything was clean, and Stephany the host weighted us with everything ready. The views and surroundings are spectacular, as the property is higher in the mountain. Be aware, this might be a problem if one prefers to walk back to the house, as it is on a steep slope. But Nelson (host) was willing to give us a lift from the beach back to the property, for free. We found that a car rental is essential for Mahe, in general.

The owner and her son were extremely friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the airport and drove us there on the next day as well, and also drove us to the beach we wanted to visit, as well as arranging a restaurant for us, as not so many places were open at this time of year. The apartment was large, equipped with everything we needed and had an amazing view. Check in and check out were very simple.

The house is super cozy, spacious, and full of light. everything’s been taken care of down to the smallest detail, and the view of the hills is absolutely stunning. It’s really close to the supermarket and the beach. Julius is incredibly helpful, he even booked our transfer both when we arrived and when we left. Highly recommended!
