The people make the difference. Sometimes you forget how good and kind people can be — and then someone like Richard (Richard and Isabel are the owners) comes along and reminds you. I arrived early at 08:00, before check-in time, after a long night train. I was tired, confused, and had many concerns about my ski plans (we dont ski in Israel, and it was my first time). Then I met Richard at the reception. He noticed my stress and calmly said, "Why don’t we start with breakfast? Allow me to take care of your belongings untill the room is ready." He truly wrapped me in care and kindness — and it meant the world to me. All my questions were answered by Isabel, who gave me great recommendations and guidance. Richard shared helpful ski tips, and I even received a lovely Easter gift — a small egg filled with chocolates. The place itself is very clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the only downside is the distance to the ski area, which can be a bit challenging. To summarize — I 100% recommend this place. A huge thank you to Richard and Isabel for being the difference. All the best, Dean

As Australians visiting Åre, Sweden, what we loved most was how authentic the experience felt. It didn’t feel touristy at all — it felt like we were actually living the Swedish lifestyle for a while. From families out skiing together to cosy cafés and the relaxed atmosphere around town, it felt genuine. We also loved that there weren’t crowds of tourists everywhere, which made the whole experience feel even more special and immersive. It was such a beautiful way to experience Swedish culture firsthand. Our favourite part was husky sledding and eating crepes in town.

Very beautiful place.

Very beautiful place. Weather was different than in Stockholm. Rain and sunlight and wind . Nature and hills were very nice. We enjoyed a lot. Warer falls and cable car experience was fantastic. Tittli in Switzerland feelings.

I love to ski at Åre and go annually.

I love to ski at Åre and go annually. The mountain is excellent with a large variety of terrain. I mostly ski advanced terrain but there is also a nice mix of intermediate and beginner slopes. For advanced skiers, head to the VM:8. Its worth trying Duved for Intermediates and Björnen for the beginners. I usually go on the train from Stockholm which is very convenient and fast to go city center to town center. It's really nice to stay in Åre By where there are restaurants and stores. Apres ski at Fjällgården and Årehyddan are great as is the atmosphere at Broken.

The staff was incredible, super friendly and helpful. Philipp and Kim gave us awesome tips and were always making sure we were having a great time + gave us a bunch of tips. Their beers are top notch and the location couldn’t be better. We really loved the little breakfast that they left prepared every morning in a tool box, great to bring to the slopes.

The hotel is very nice and located in a fantastic area, especially if you’re coming to ski. The facilities are comfortable and the location couldn’t be better. Overall, it was a good experience, but it would be great to have a bit more staff presence during the off-season.
