We enjoyed our last two days in São Tomé at Hotel Praia. We had stayed there already a night prior to our journey to the island of Rolas. It was nice to back in civilization after our Rolas trip. Nice to have everything functioning and working well. Great shower, nice bed, everything clean! The front desk personnel was very friendly and accommodating (especially Mr Helder, who, amongst other things, took care of our taxi requests). The salt-water pool is nice and big. Great to be so close to the airport. The restaurant serves a great free breakfast and dinners were good, too. We would go back there!

Highly recommend. I was picked up from the airport. The hospitality was top tier. I enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the airport.

Amazing staff here who went above and beyond to make it one of the nicest "airport hotel" experiences I've had. The location is two minutes drive from the airport, the hotel itself is spotless and comfortable, and while I didn't get to try the full breakfast, the staff made sure we had coffee and some food even at 4:45 AM. Highly recommend!

What a nice stsy, the lady of the house is amazing,, on top of things and helping out at all times Small but delicious breakfast, freh local fruits Free shower at 5 pm on last day and a big hug. I spend 200 days a year in hotels, but this is an overall experience to remember 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The room was very comfortable and with air-conditioning. The restaurant was good and the breakfast as well. The property is very nice and has a bunch of different tree species. It like being in a botanical garden.

I got much more then expected. Many extra services which normally are not included to the price...

Hard to find anything bad to say about this hotel - everything works well. The manager is very hands on and obviously well liked by her staff and it translates into an excellent experience throughout. There are copious common spaces to hand out and the rooms are spacious. The restaurant and bar were also good experiences. It was very convenient to. the airport and the airport transfers worked very well.

The beds were comfy and the room was clean bit the hotel is a little bit noisy and my shower was broken.

A highly positive experience on a work-related trip to S. Tomé. This relatively small hotel (really a villa, as in its name) is very well located in a relatively calm neighborhood close to the center (but without all the noise and agitation). Although it doesn't have lunch&dine facilities (only breakfast), it is very close to many excellent restaurants (Papa-Figo, Petiscos da Vilma, Parque Popular, Carambola, Pico Mocambo, etc.) and next door to Moxinhos, a lunch&coffee shop with the most delicious cakes. The room had airco, minifridge, desk, comfortable beds, and a good, functional private bathroom with hot water. Having stayed in other places in the city of S. Tomé, I really appreciated the cleanliness and quietness of the hotel. A heads up to the manager and all the other staff: this is what one would call excellent, reliable "service with a smile". They went out of their way to help with anything that came up (arranging for transportation, exchanging money, etc.) and were always available for a friendly chat.
