I had very nice stay. The host was very helpful and gave me all necessary information, especially how to go back to Panjakent. She used a translation app, so the communication was fine. Dinner was included. Amazing hospitality. If I visit Artuch, I will stay here again!

This region of the Fann mountains in Tajikistan has exceptional scenery and hiking. There are some day hikes and multi-day hikes. We stayed at the Artuch mountain lodge, also called Artuch Alplager. It's about 2.5 hours from the Samarkhand border. We chose this location because we wanted to add on a couple days trekking while touring Samarkhand. The other popular nature location is Seven Lakes (Haft-kul), but in my opinion Arutch area has much better trekking. My family and I stayed at the lodge and did 2 day treks, one to Kulikalon lakes and one to Ziyorat lake. Both are exceptional treks with amazing scenery.
