The nicest hotel you will ever stay in at this price point. Palatial facilities, nice staff. Yossra was very friendly and helpful. Good bar, huge buffet dinner (50 TND extra).

The hosts were fantastic. They were warm and friendly, made sure we were comfortable, and gave good recommendations for activities and food. Mohamed even arranged for a sunset Sahara tour with his friend Ali, which was great.

The room is well decorated, and there is a nice garden. This is the closest location to the desert that you can find! The owner helped us organize a two days tour to the desert with camels and a guide: it was an amazing experience!

Everything was excellent including facilities, bedding, shower and towels. Very welcoming. It was the nicest place that we stayed in during the past month in Tunisia and Morocco. Excellent breakfast and cookies. If we could rate it higher than 10, we would.

Douz is a fantastic little city with VERY kind and loving...

Douz is a fantastic little city with VERY kind and loving people. If you want Adventure, here is the center of it. From here you can go to different Adventures like Quad-ing, camel riding, desert camping etc,etc, and come back to your stay. Alc. is there not available, except in Hotel bars or Kebili "General Market", must ask people that work there for it. And they bring you to a hidden room.

Douz is a fascinating and authentic small town at the edge of the Sahara. Market day on Thursdays transforms the town into a vibrant hub, bustling with locals and tourists alike. Insider tip: Head to the animal stock market early in the morning (around 6–7 AM) to witness traditional trading in action — complete with lively negotiations over sheep, goats, and camels. A true local experience!

Everything was lovely! It’s a beautiful house decorated tastefully and it has a large outside area around the house. The owner is a lovely lady who had baked us Christmas cookies and other biscuits. Coffee available, dates and olives. The night before our last stay she dropped by with another homemade cake. Very sweet and very helpful with important information about Douz, restaurants, camps, taxi and anything else one might need to know. I would definitely stay here again!!

The hotel is very comfortable, staff were helpful, and it was the first and only place one could get by with a card, for which I was grateful. The pool is very nice, food was very tasty and varied. There are covered parking spaces, which was great. The bar was great, playing oldies music, we kinda got stuck in there for a while. One can book Sahara trips in the lobby.

Very responsive staff, excellent location to visit Douz, very good breakfast with the staff cooking omelettes and crepes on the spot, very good dinner. The receptionist is helpful with all the requests, including options for visiting Sahara. The swimming pool area is excellent and the bar is very nice. If you are a bird-enthusiast, there are kestrels flying around.

The Residence Douz was a wonderful resort, beyond my expectations. It was amazing to be able to relax in the middle of the desert like this. I especially liked the opportunity to experience the Arabic sauna hammam. All the staff, including the manager Mr.Anis Zayana, were very friendly and kind. I will never forget the hospitality of this hotel. Thank you.

I liked, that it was traditionally shaped house without windows, really special architecture. Location was good and this place had also garden. Nice hot shower. Simple, but satisfying breakfast included dates, by what Douz is famous.
