Plenty of Limes and Good Times

Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.

Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Weather great - walks were a bit long - left car parked during stay. Shops had AC - pricing at a lot of things in Key West were difficult to understand, especially if there were "special" deals. Mallory Square, Southernmost Point, Jack's Flat and Moondog Cafe were highlights.

We specifically went to hang out on the beach.

We specifically went to hang out on the beach. Unfortunately I was unaware that summer time is not the time to visit Key West due to the TERRIBLE SMELL of SEAWEED! We had a beautiful view from our hotel room but could only enjoy the beach from looking out our window. There are really no other beaches to visit but the south end, which is where we stayed. So I feel like I spent more money because we had to find things to do instead of laying on the beach for free.

It is a nice and entertained city.

It is a nice and entertained city. People are so kind, you have beach and a diversity of water activities and a lot of restaurants and bars. You have historic places to visit too like the Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park Beach and the Ernest Hemingway house. There is an aquarium, the turtle hospital. It is a great place to enjoy with friends and family. It is amazing walk through the Duval street or turn around the island on bicycle or motorcycle or golf car.

Key West has a lot of culture and history to provide things to do during your stay. One trip we walked everywhere and another we rented a golf cart. Live music at almost every bar. Food options are endless including upscale Italian and street food trucks. Be ready to get your drank on! Simply walking Duval, at all times of the day, is entertaining in itself.

A very clean orderly town due to well manager council. Based on piracy and ship plundering in it's origins it is of course a miricle where it is today Heavily based on tourism. People are friendly and hospitable. I would go back!

The stay was perfect in every way. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, just steps from the heart of Key West. The room was spacious for two, clean, with a large TV and various amenities. The service was exemplary and helpful in every way. Free parking is available on site, which is a huge plus. Next time I will also stay at this hotel.

We arrived in Key West, only to be disappointed by the island itself. However, our hotel helped salvage the situation; its wonderful pool managed to soothe our frustration over the island's dirty and foul-smelling beaches. The breakfast was also very good.
