This is a truly wonderful hotel with a fascinating history — one that you can discover by visiting the kitchen, which makes the experience even more special. We stayed in a room right by the river, and it was absolutely perfect. The view of the small waterfall right from our room was beautiful, and the gentle sound of the water was incredibly calming. Falling asleep and waking up to that peaceful sound created a sense of deep relaxation. The house itself is very cozy, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The care and attention from the owners really stand out — since this is a single-owner property, you can feel the personal touch in every detail. The kitchen is wonderful, and the attention to small details truly makes a difference. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it and stay an extra night. There are restaurants within walking distance, and it’s very pleasant to stroll around this charming small town.

The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we got there. The breakfast in the morning was incredible. They had pancakes, eggs, cereal, many other options. The property is nestled right in the middle of the woods, so it has such a great down-home country field to it.

This is a cute and quiet historic home in the center of Nevada city. It’s a close walk to restaurants and shops. There are a ton of hiking trails and some just walkable from the home. The grounds are well maintained and there is a cute patio and back yard with luscious trees and greenery. The owners were amazing as well and super friendly. If you find yourself going to Nevada city this is a wonderful place to stay.
