We only stayed overnight but got there in the late afternoon...

We only stayed overnight but got there in the late afternoon and we're able to walk around the "harbor". Seemed nice. Ate at the smokehouse, which was very good- meat very tender and tasty.

The house is close to the key places we wanted to visit.

The house is close to the key places we wanted to visit. We rode bikes in the neighborhood, which was quiet and pleasant. We spent most of our time on Bridge street for restaurants and shops, but also liked going to Geneva on the Lake.

The woman at the desk couldn't have been nicer and it was quiet. But the toilet in our room hadn't been wiped down in a while. The rim under the seat and the outside of the bowl was not clean.

The area has many beaches at your fingertips, each one...

The area has many beaches at your fingertips, each one giving you a unique experience. There is a strip in Ashtabula that has good restaurants and fun shops. You are close to Geneva on the Lake for a beach town experience, and the sunsets along the water are very pretty.

Nothing. It was filthy. The man spoke of this being a nonsmoking facility, but our room smelled horrible and smoky. When my son noticed stains on the comforter we decided to leave within ten minutes. The owner then refused refund and then claimed he couldn’t speak English anymore. So disappointing. I got another hotel much more clean and family appropriate close by and filed a discrepancy with my bank because they still refuse to refund my money when I was there a total of 5 minutes?!

The place was by far the dirtiest hotel in area. The jets on the overpri Ed hot tub were so dirty that while in it I realized there was stuff floating.after draining it we were horrified to see it was from the jets. Thr toilet in bathroom was so dirty it looked like it wasn't cleaned for ages. Bedding was dirty the duvet and sheets. It the breakfast was nothing cold cereal and stale muffins.

Beautiful place to stay and feel like home, found this place and never planed to stay at the Riverbend, but the Hotel looked so nice, that we did and drove a bit furhter for Niragar Falls and back. Breakfast is really great! Loved it and to work out and the comfort in the Hotel.

Riverbend is a gorgeous hotel that is located in the heart of downtown Ashtabula, and with great views of Lake Erie. We had a very comfortable night here as well as delicious food and drinks in the top floor bar.
