There wasn't a lot of places to eat close by.
There wasn't a lot of places to eat close by. We did go into New Bern, which is a lovely place to visit, shop and grab a bite to eat. Chocowinity is not too far, about 30 minutes and it's a nice little town as well. I'm on vacation to relax and unwind, we are not the type of family that ventures out. However, the ferry is close by and if you have a boat/jet skis or any kind of water craft, you'll have a blast and not want to venture out.
