Driving up the twisty roads to get to this place was an exciting adventure - and what a beautiful area once we got there! We didn’t talk to any of the staff, because of the excellent check-in communications and keyless process provided. We went for a really wonderful hike in the morning, and it was lovely all around.

The Hot tub on the Patio that overlooks the forest was absolutely amazing!! Cabin was clean, kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook. We already book this cabin again for a week in November. Cant wait to return.

Ambiance: - Rich Victorian atmosphere with original woodwork, high ceilings, and antique furnishings. - Each corner is visually stunning, offering a luxurious and opulent feel. Rooms: - Only 6 rooms available, ensuring a personalized and intimate stay. - Rooms are beautifully appointed with fine linens, modern bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities like a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to toast to new beginnings. - Some rooms even feature fireplaces for an extra touch of romance. - And the pièce de résistance? Soaking clawfoot tubs! The luxurious touch adds a whole new level of relaxation to your stay. The hotel's rich history is a definite draw for tourists. I've stayed at the Winchester many times in the past. This trip was much like the others. The room was sparkling clean. The Breakfast was the best breakfast you could get, which is included in the room price. A fabulous choice on the menu. In the room there are great little things waiting for you like, home made cookies, which are amazing; a variety of teas; coffee and a bottle of wine (which you pay for). We couldn't ask for anything more on top of the beautiful grounds and the antique environment, you might expect a horse & carriage to come pick you up.

I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).

I stay here every time I travel down to California. The front desk staff are always friendly and efficient. The rooms are always clean and cozy, and I appreciate the free breakfast. Great value for the price!
