Beautiful modern comfortable self contained unit with lots of coffee and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The location is a slightly grungy character-filled neighbourhood filled with the typical single houses of Charleston. I loved walking around looking at the architecture. Walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants, and not too far from downtown.

Food sucks everywhere you go, $20+ plates and there isn't even salt? Who puts white gravy on shrimp and grits? We tried multiple dining locations and somehow every single one did not meet standard expectations with the exception of Kilwins. Locals drive like they’re stupid and scared. Towards the end of our stay I opted for Ubers/walking because I couldn't take it anymore. City mostly ignores the entirety of its tragic history. Charleston is one of the highest used ports in the country during slavery and how to they commemorate the location where it all happened? An easy to miss plaque next to some trashcans. City is greatly lacking diversity which might explains why the food is trash. Not a place I will ever consider returning unless Im forced to. Saw some cool birds though, International African American Museum and Gibbes Art Museum were the only enjoyable places.

Charleston is beautiful. But it was hot!

Charleston is beautiful. But it was hot! 116 degree heat index. Best enjoyed in the fall or spring go see the beaches and the Battery for sure. And the Angel Oak. We went to the Tanger Outlet for dinner. They have everything including a Walmart and a Sam’s. We were there for a dance completion at the arts center so our chance to explore were limited. I was surprised how easy it was to get around town.

Charleston was wonderful. Very historic.

Charleston was wonderful. Very historic. We loved the gorgeous mansions along the riverfront and the flowers. I would not go back on a holiday weekend because parking is scarce unless you're staying downtown. We could not get close enough on the 4th to see the fireworks. It was ridiculously crowded. We shopped at the Charleston Market but only bought a few items because most were super expensive. We found our best deals in the shops a street over from the market. We really enjoyed the museum. Folly Beach is about 20 to 30 minutes away but we didn't get to see it because there was no place to park in Folly. People in cars had taken up every possible space. Folly really needs to improve their parking areas. I'm a huge Gone With the Wind fan so I was disappointed there was nothing about it that we could find. Over all, Charleston was a beautiful place for a 2 or 3 day visit.

Charleston is a beautiful place to visit, besides being hot, there was a lot of traffic. Where we stayed, the Tanger Outlets and restaurants were very easy to get to. Definitely recommend Charleston. A good coffee shop to go to was The Dime, it was right near the water, you could take the dogs for a walk. I believe the cafe was on Daniel's Island. If you go to Charleston, go downtown and visit the train station and don't forget the Farmers Market in the Park.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room had a view of one side of the river which was lovely. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the staff were lovely each time we ate there, the restaurant has a great view of the whole of Charleston. We used the pool during our time, it was clean and everyone seemed to love it in the heat. Overall, we had a great time in Charleston and would likely stay again

We never ate breakfast at the hotel and did not know they offered it. The hotel was centrally located and walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Our suite was spectacular, the staff friendly and accommodating. Next time we come to Charleston, SC, we plan to stay here again. The hotel website doesn't do it justice. On reflection I would not stay in Charleston, rather I would stay somewhere outside the old Downtown area, where it's cheeper - $18 for a sandwich, and $8 for bad coffee. Drive in, enjoy the historic area, drive out again for some sanity. It's beautiful, charming, and everything I was expecting from Charleston; I loved the architecture and understand why it's such a destination.

The premises were in ok condition, although they would require some renovation and rooms could be cleaned up better. However, I saw no cockroaches or bugs, unlike many other visitors. Close to the airport and the train station and buses to downtown stop in front of the hotel. All in all, rather good value for the money.
