I liked the front desk employee. Lady about 30 jtodd or something like that, she works hard j could tell she was up and down from floor 4-1 helping all customers and still getting people checked in. She deserves promotions she is good at what she does. Thank you beautiful

It is awesome it's been a tradition for my family since 2019 I go very often but definitely on April 13th my late husband birthday I love the fishing peace and all the friendly people we get to meet I remember the first time we went we was so nervous because of the color of our skin but everybody treated us like family so much love and respect it's a place you can call home away from home I love the rooms I can truly say I've had the opportunity to enjoy every cabin it's definitely worth the money but I would admit in order to get the best out of your stay book it for two days you can thank me later

The cabin was clean, the kitchenette was useful, the location is right off the main road to Gainesville. There are chairs by the riverbank right outside the cabins, and I enjoyed sitting by the peaceful river. Big trees on the grounds and enough shade during the hot months. Cindy was wonderful and professional, she called me prior to my arrival and provided helpful information. Unbeatable value for the money. Thank you for maintaining this wonderful low-key place for those who do not wish to spend $$$$ in Gainesville. Best, Lilyana

Small town but if you like my of the way places this is it.

Small town but if you like my of the way places this is it. Lots of hiking trails near by and other places to see like Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings home, Micanopy Historic District. Everything is within a 20-30 minute drive from Cross Creek. It would of been nice to be able to rent a pontoon, john boat or canoe to get out on one of the lakes. A lot of places are closed at the beginning of the week, so keep that in mind when visiting.

Oh my gosh!. Our favorite place. The river was beautiful. The restaurant was si nostalgic with Yearling photos and memoralia through it. A huge gator and animals ( taxidermy) inside. My Florida cracker Dad ate there when he was still alive. His prople lived around there.Joe Shepoard past Sheriff of Highlands County, FL. What a great place.l! The Limpkin birds soothed you to sleep!!

Touring the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings home and acreage was the main reason we visited the area. Dining at the Yearling Restaurant for the two night stay was an added bonus as the food was exceptional, fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive and cordial, and everyone made us feel welcome.
