Check in was smooth. Excellent customer service. Room was spotless. Location was perfect and very short drive from our family's home and church. Bed was firm, which my husband and I love and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple, waffles, eggs, sausage with coffee and extras. Would definitely stay again when we come back to GA to visit our family.

I wish we had stayed downtown at Oakes on the River.

I wish we had stayed downtown at Oakes on the River. There are some shops, a coffee bar & a restaurant that looked lively & fun. There is also a restaurant called B & J’s Steak & Seafood that is fabulous. It’s nothing to look at from the outside but man they have the best shrimp you will ever eat. Fort King George is a pretty cool historic outdoor settlement / museum that the whole family will enjoy. 2 -3 days is plenty enough time in Darien .

The second oldest city in Georgia lives up to the eitehr of the old Gaelic meanings - 'Possessor of Good" or "Oak tree." The town offers great events like the Blessing of the Fleet, incredible seafood and resteraunts, landmarks like Fort King Georga, and is filled with friendly people.

Darien is a wonderful small fishing town.

Darien is a wonderful small fishing town. The food was fabulous. We had Mexican, seafood, breakfast and splurged a bit on our dinner in The Oaks dining room. Everyone in Darien was super friendly and helpful. The service in each of the esteries was grest. I hope to come back and stay longer so I can see Cumberland Island and maybe luckie enough to catch a glimpse of the iwild horses there.

We stayed overnight at the Red Roof Inn North Brunswick Darien as it was at the half-way point on our north-south trip. I was a bit reluctant to make a reservation with a Red Roof Inn as we had had a couple of unpleasant experiences with other Red Roof Inns a few years back. I'm glad we gave them another chance, as this Red Roof Inn was perfectly fine for us: clean and comfortable, and with pleasant staff. This is a good economical option, and we'll stay here again.
